WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 27TH OF JANUARY

Monday 27th January:

On Monday we got all our waste away and there was meat to collect. We changed the beds in the kennels. We did a bit more maintenance work after the storm and the day went well. Two hounds to watch out for at Yarmouth are Charlie Loves Me (previous name Swift Henrik) who qualified in 27.84 and Swift Jericho winning his first race on Sunday very impressive as he was a raw green pup.

Tuesday 28th January:

Padgie my head lad was back to work after his break. We got the last of the maintenance work done after the storm damage. We did our weekly run to the vets and we started doing a massive swap around with pups & mothers into the big sheds, pups that were in the big sheds have been moved into the concrete yard, pups from the rearing paddocks into the garden paddocks,  hounds from the garden paddock have been moved into kennels.

Wednesday 29th January:

We continued on with the swapping around of pups, kennel dogs and saplings. We were worming and cutting nails as well. We had the vet here for passport work. The day went well.

Thursday 30th January:

I went for meat, chicken and tripe early. We fed up early and got ready to leave for trials at Kilkenny. Owing to the weather the trials were cancelled. We washed the vans and did a bit of a tidy up.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT HOVE: SWIFT KENZO AND SWIFT JARVIS. AT NEWCASTLE MARCIANOS PUNCH AND SWIFT JAFAR.

Friday 31st January:

We took the waste away and I was at the vets early. We had to feed up early as we were trialing at Kilkenny. We also did a bit of a tidy up.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT HOVE SWIFT KENZO. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: TRINITY BELLA, WRIGHTY, SWIFT GIDDY AND YOU TWO.

Saturday 1st February:

We have an artic load of paper bedding here so it will have to be emptied and stacked away. We need food for pups. We will do a tidy up around the yard and give the garages a tidy up. Whatever happens I will watch Newcastle United this afternoon.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK AND IRELAND WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS TONIGHT AT DONCASTER: BLUEY BOY AND FAB ROY. AT MONMORE: SWIFT COMRADE AND PHOENIX POSH. AT SHELBOURNE PHOENIX MEMPHIS.

Sunday 2nd February:

It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will get caught up with paperwork, tidy the website up and prepare for another busy week.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT PEELAW: UNANIMOUS KYLE. AT TOWCERTER: CHARLIE KNOWS AND TWO WRIGHT. LAST NIGHT WE HAD ONE WINNER AT MONMORE PHOENIX POSH.
