WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 20TH OF JANUARY

MONDAY THE 20TH OF JANUARY 

We are doing all this weeks journals on Friday afternoon .

My head lad Pagie is on a weeks holiday . The first job on Monday was to get all the waste away . We needed food for pups and I had a problem with the computer so that had to be fixed . At the kennels we changed all the beds and gave the kennels a major clean which took all day and we also had a bit of maintenance work to do.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT CRAYFORD SWIFT ACCOMPLISH

TUESDAY THE 21ST OF JANUARY

Tuesday was like a spring day the weather was so good . We had more rubbish for the dump , we did more maintenance work , washed the vans and we had a delivery of bag dog food of red mills and I also took the vat paperwork to the accountant plus I posted all the paperwork off .

WEDNESDAY THE 23RD OF JANUARY

We needed beef , tripe and chicken so it all had to be collected and packed into the freezer . The work list and the schooling list had to be prepared and I also started preparing for the storm which is arriving on Friday and we also had the vet here doing passport work and it was another lovely day.

THURSDAY THE 24TH OF JANUARY

The main job on Thursday was trialing in Kilkenny . We did more preparation work for the storm arriving on Friday . Swift Vicki who lives in the house with me is off colour . So we had to fed up early and we just got trialed before the weather took a turn for the worst .

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE WE HAD FOUR RUNNERS AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS , SWIFT KENZO AND BURROWS TIGGER AND AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT BULLSEYE.

FRIDAY THE 25TH OF JANUARY

The storm has been and gone thank goodness , the shed we keep the sawdust in blew away , we have a couple of gates blowen off in to letting out paddocks , we will start putting the whole lot right on Saturday . All the shops are closed in Ireland and the garages as well. I needed supplies from the vets at Cashel but their are closed .

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT HOVE  SWIFT JARVIS. TONIGHT AT ROMFORD WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS SWIFT GIDDY , TRINITY BELLA , YOU TWO AND SWIFT QUINCEY.

SATURDAY THE 26TH OF JANUARY

The plans for Saturday we need meat so that will have to be collect . We have hounds that are sold leaving for the UK with Ross Myles. We will start repairing the damage from the storm and do a tidy up around the yard .

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT RONFORD SWIFT GIDDY.  TONIGHT WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS AT MONMORE PHOENIX POSH . AT PERRY BARR SWIFT MAXWELL. AT YARMOUTH SWIFT CARLO, WRIGHTY AND SWIFT BANKRUPT.

SUNDAY THE 27TH OF JANUARY

Were doing Sundays journal on Saturday afternoon as my last job on Saturday is meeting Daragh who works for Ross Myles to hand over hounds that are sold and going to the UK. Fair play to him as he is picking them up from the yard. On Sunday were going to do paperwork, tidy the website, cook, clean and feed which is the normal routine for Sunday.The Magpies returned to winning ways after coming from behind to beat basement side Southampton at St. Mary’s on Saturday afternoon
Alexander Isak scored two more Premier League goals to take his tally to 48 and overtake injured colleague Callum Wilson with only Alan Shearer scoring more Premier PL goals (148) for the Magpies.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS AT TOWCESTER CHARLIE KNOWS , TOO WRIGHT AND SWIFT COMRADE . AT THE VALLEY SWIFT FROCK AND SWIFT UP.
