MONDAY THE 25TH OF MAY
Its red hot today so we have not trialed in Kilkenny. We have started taking down the last three fronts of the rearing paddocks that need doing and we are also leveling the sand runs out in the garden paddocks and doing the last of the tidy up around my place. I already been to the dump with the first load of rubbish and I will have to go back with all the metal and wood from the rearing paddocks uncredible Swift Vicky who lives in the house with me and is just short of 15 years of age is going better than she has in a long long time she is a very picky eater but has never eaten as much as lately she is like myself she can’t stand the heat so all doors and windows are open in the house for her. Newcastle united have a serious rebuild job to do in the summer transfer window.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER YESTERDAY IN SHEFFIELD SWIFT HOSTILE.
TUESDAY THE 26TH OF MAY
It’s red hot again today so we were feeding the rearing paddocks at 6am as the hounds don’t eat when it gets to hot. We will continue on to finish the fronts of the last three rearing paddocks. We need meat and tripe so that had to be collected and as normal we need a load of bits and pieces.
WEDNESDAY THE 27TH OF MAY
Another red hot day and a busy day Swift Acoustic had her pups to Broadstrand Syd last night three dogs and four bitches, mother and pups doing absolutely fantastic. Swift Acoustic has produced Group 1 winner Tiffield Tarquin and Group 1 finalist and multi competition winner Wrighty. At the kennels we are fully stock once again as there was fish to collect this morning and more meat and with it been so hot it’s very little we can do with the hounds other than keep plenty water with them and feed up early.
THURSDAY THE 28TH OF MAY
No where near as warm as it has been we left at 6:30 am for trials in Kilkenny and were now back home and the website all done at 12am. We are going to continue on leveling the sand runs out. We have just about got all the tidy up done and we will also do a swap around with broods in pup and probably put swift Acoustic into a puppy house
FRIDAY THE 29TH OF MAY
A lot cooler today thank goodness. We need all our waste away and a load of bits and pieces. We are bringing brood bitches from the kennels into the pupping down areas and I also got to go to vets.
SATURDAY 30TH MAY
We got up to a wet morning and it looks like its staying like that for the day. We have supplies to collect such as meat, food for pups and parts for the new van.
SUNDAY 31ST MAY
It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed, let hounds out of kennels and get caught up with the paperwork.
