MONDAY 18TH OF DECEMBER
A nice day for December it was 15 degrees in Dublin to day when we were trailing in Shelbourne park as normal we had to be fed up for 12 o’clock we also had meat to collect. On this week greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on the list swift silly at Newcastle.

Tuesday 19th December:
We have had a week of windy, wet weather but thankfully there hasn’t been any damage. Tuesday was another day where we got supplies to get us over the Christmas. The sales department was busy thanks to everyone who bought a hound. It hasn’t been a good week for Newcastle United as we got knocked out of the EFL cup by Chelsea on penalties. The last of the hounds that were sold left for the UK.
Wednesday 20th December:
We got all our waste away, collected food for pups from the supermarket, got the last of the worming done and the last of giving our Provecto tablet to kill fleas and ticks. We had visitors, we got the vans all washed and tidied.
Thursday 21st December:
I did a feature on last Thursdays journal (14th December) on Ray Hayle Newcastle trainer and owner Michael Thompson. They had another big night at their local track Newcastle. Swift Silly won her semi final of the All England Cup. Swift Josh won his heat of the puppy competition and Swift Gavin qualified for the sprint final. This is Ray and Michaels first group one finalist. The have a live change with Swift Silly. We all know in the greyhound game its and achievement to get to a group one final. We all know how hard they are to win. I normally get Michael for a few days holiday between Christmas and New Year but this year he will be at Newcastle watching the finals. Best of luck next Thursday lads. By the way to make it a bigger achievement Michael bought them at 10 months old when they were saplings in the field.

Friday 22nd December:
We needed meat. We continued on getting supplies at the kennels. We did a major tidy up. To be fair the week has gone very well.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT NEWCASTLE: SWIFT JOSH, SWIFT SILLY AND SWIFT ICONIC. SWIFT GAVIN QUALIFIED FOR THE FINAL OF THE WINTER DASH. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT THE VALLEY: DUBAI KID.
Saturday 23rd December:
We changed all the beds everywhere, got all our waste away and I went for another van load of meat to make sure were not short over the Christmas. Another disaster of a day for Newcastle United getting beat by Luton Town.

Sunday 24th December:
A typical Sunday where we tidy the website, do the paperwork and prepare for Christmas Day. We will do as much as possible in advance but the weather is against us today as its windy and raining.
