Thankfully on Friday they changed the medication. The sight is coming back and I’m feeling much better as were doing the journals on Sunday morning. We had five hounds leave for the UK going to their new owners. Fair play to Ross Myles he collected them from the yard as my head lad Padgie had his own work to do plus mine. We also needed meat.

It would be about 33 years ago when I was living at Stakeford, I gave Ray a greyhound to race at Ashington flapping track. The three hounds are owned by Michael Thompson who is from a greyhound family. His grandfather, uncles were all involved in greyhounds. When I lived at home Michael would come from school to help me with the dogs. I said to Michael is the buzz still as big now as all them years ago. He says I simply didn’t close my eyes on Thursday night. This is why were all in the game. Wrighty also won his heat of the all England cup.
