WEEK STARTING MONDAY 8TH OF MARCH

Monday 8th March:

Another cold dry morning but the weather has to get warm later today. The plans for today is schooling at Shelbourne Park getting all the waste away, collecting a brood that has been mated. We need a trip to the supermarket as we need food for pups. Newcastle United are in a dog fight in the Premier League to survive.

Tuesday 9th March:

A dry morning but it looks like rain. We have the website to update (dogs for sale page) and we have the photographs to take and add to greyhound data of our March and April 2019 litters. We need supplies and our puppy and sapling has arrive from Gain. We will try to hunt few pups, we have supplies to collect and we also need a trip to the post office. I was reading The Greyhound Star and we have two hounds on British Performance of the week Swift Cope at Romford and Massive Ego at Yarmouth.

Wednesday 10th March:

The wet weather has returned. We have already got pups hunted and we have a hound going to her retirement home today. We have a fence to fix in the rearing paddocks. The first day I can remember not needing supplies and the main job is putting the photos on to Greyhound Data of our March and April saplings.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT LETTUCE.

Thursday 11th March:

A very wet and windy morning and it’s been like that all night. Definitely no work outside today, we need supplies a load of stuff from the vets. Two pups to watch out for that have won this week Churchill Duke won 3 from 4 starts now A2 in Nottingham and Potent Touch winning his first race last night at Newcastle.

Friday 12th March:

The forecast for the day is heavy blustery showers but at the moment as we do the journal at 8am it’s dry. The main job today is hunting pups, doing maintenance work, getting all our waste away and collecting supplies. Morpeth lad is back to his best after 28.57 win last night normal going Newcastle. A massive game for Newcastle United tonight as we are desperate  for points.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE GOLDEN SPRINT SWIFT COPE.

Saturday 13th March:

The bad weather continues but the forecast is good for next week. We have supplies coming from the UK so they will have to be emptied and packed away. We will probably hunt a few pups and all going well we will give the vans a good clean. We have more hounds to name and we need bits and pieces for maintenance work. Newcastle United managed to get a point with an equaliser in the dying seconds. Were running short on winnable games. Our next game against Brighton is massive. Its twelve months today since I had a drink. I didn’t think I’d ever feel as good.

Sunday 14th March:

Its a nice morning and the forecast is good for the whole week. Padgie is off today but it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels.  Were up to date with all the paperwork which isn’t like me. I have the coming week all planned out as its a busy one. Ross Myles has just delivered Swift Hawthorn to Anna Thompson at Ferrybridge. Anna said she got off as fresh as paint.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT SWINDON PIPPAPIPPAPOPS. AT CENTRAL PARK CYNTHIAS GIFT, SWIFT LETTUCE AND SWIFT ADDITION.
