Monday 26th October:
We are doing Mondays journal on Tuesday morning as Monday was a bank holiday in Southern Ireland. We got the hounds checked that are schooling we also galloped and collected the supplies we have three hounds on the British Performance of the week in the Greyhound Star Fernhall Roxy, Normansland Flyer, Swift Tarquin and Newcastle United played poor on Sunday but got a draw.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS ON SUNDAY NIGHT AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT LETTUCE AND NORMANLAND FLYER.
Tuesday 27th October:
A wet morning and plenty to do I needed trip to the vets, we are going to gallop and we have supplies coming from uk. The maintenance work will continue on and we will get a lot of the work finish tonight.
Wednesday 28th October:
A nice morning but cold ideal for trialing at Shelbourne Park which is the main job of today. We have been to the dump and done a tidy up, we have broods to collect and the maintenance job is just about done. We are leveling the garden paddocks out and we have all the beds to change.
Thursday 29th October:
It’s a wet morning so all galloping preparing dogs for schooling and hunting pups is of the work list. We had a roof fall in on the shed so we have to put that right today. We have updated the dog for sale page and we also have a brood to collect that has been mated we need supplies.
FRIDAY 30TH OCTOBER
A nice morning we are changing all the beds in all the kennels and we are doing the biggest swap ever of mother and pups, saplings and kennel dogs. We are worming all the hounds and I will have trip to the vets at 5 o’clock .

Saturday 31st October:
I have never seen wind and rain like we are getting today. I was up at 5:30 am and I thought the place was either going to blow away or get washed away. Thankfully we don’t have any damage. The work that we can do today will be very limited. We need supplies and bits and pieces at Portlaoise. It will be a day for cleaning kennels, cooking, cleaning and letting dogs out that are in kennels.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT ROMFORD LAST NIGHT IN THE MAIDEN STAYERS FINAL.
TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT TARQUIN AND SWIFT TAXMAN.
Sunday 1st November:
The storm has gone and with a bit of luck it will be a dry day. We have plenty to do. All of the dogs that are schooling are getting checked, were going to do the Vat, fill in all the mating forms and a bit of work on the website. We need food for pups and that will be as much as we can do today. Its 26 years today since I came to Ireland but it wasnt until the following year that I moved into Lughill Kennels.
