Monday 19th October:

The weather is not as good and the forecast is bad. The main job today is schooling in Shelbourne Park as we do the journal at 10am we have everything fed, cleaned out all ready to leave at 11am. We will update trials and handslips from today at Shelbourne Park at 8am tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 20th October:

A very wet and windy day so no outside work can be done, we have our Red Mills order coming so the order will have to be packed away. We have a brood for mating so she will probably be going to Candlelight King, we need to place a heap of orders we also updated the website and like any wet day we can only cook, clean, feed and let hounds out in kennels.

Wednesday 21th October:

A nice morning and plenty to do, we have got hounds to gallop pups to hunt a trip to the Cash and Carry and that will be as much as we can do today. Towstar Arnie previous name swift turban ran a big race in Shelbourne Park winning in 28.68 last night.

Thursday 22th October:

A nice morning which is great as we are galloping and preparing dogs for schooling we are getting all our outdoor lights repaired and also getting a gates all fixed. We have a massive tidy up to do and Mirus had to work on the gallop since 6am to get it right under lights. Yesterday would have been my mothers 93 birthday if she was still here it’s 5 years past February since she past away I don’t know where the time has gone. We are back to the lockdown in Ireland we can still school as normal also collect supplies as normal and go to the vets the hardware is still open. Pubs and restaurants, barbers are closed. I haven’t had a drink for nearly 8 months so I will not miss the pub and I will also survive with out restaurants as my favourite take away is still doing food Luigi’s and I had been told the doctor in the village will not see you only talk to you on the phone and you can only get to hospital if it’s a double emergency. The next job is to get waste all away as it’s a bank holiday weekend in Ireland.

Friday 23rd October:

Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning. The day went well. We galloped hounds, continued on with the maintenance work and I had to go to Cashel to O’Connors vets to collect a hound that had an operation. My head lad Padgies son had his 10th birthday and it just seems like yesterday when he was in a pram. We had a load of bits and pieces to collect so thankfully the hardware is still open.
