WEEK STARTING MONDAY 17TH AUGUST

Monday 17th August:

We are doing Monday journal on Wednesday morning, all went well on Monday at the kennels. All the small pups eating loads of food six times a day, all the maintenance work done no lame or sick dogs and Padgie is having a good holiday so all good news.

TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST

We are doing Tuesday journal on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday we changes all beds in all the kennels. did the dump run, went to the vets for passports for the dogs that are  sold  going to the UK. It rained all day but we work a way as normal all day.

Wednesday 19th August

Its rain all day today, two hounds that are sold have left for the UK with Pat O’Hare and Aidan McCalister we are cutting dogs nails and plus  the jobs we do every day cleaning cooking, feeding, let dogs that are in kennels out six times a day.

THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST

We had a storm over night and today its raining with strong winds, so a day for cleaning, cooking , feeding letting dogs out that are in kennels and cutting pups nails.

Friday 21st August:

Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning as I had to go for fish yesterday and there was roadworks everywhere. They’re building bypasses on the way to Killybegs which will be a great job when they get them finished but at the minute its hard work. The week went well at the kennels but we havent been doing any galloping or hunting as we have a load of small pups and I have lads on holiday. Kildare is still in lock down and it has been extended another fortnight. Were not taking any visitors at the moment owing to Covid-19. Hopefully everybody understands.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT: AT ROMFORD FILMSTAR, SWIFT TARQUIN AND 

Saturday 22nd August:

The first job of the day was emptying the fish out of the van as I was late back last night. We had it well wrapped up and it was still rock hard. We need supplies such as food for pups and we need to take all the rubbish away. Im going to do a swap around with mothers and pups and that will be as much as we can do for one day. Newcastle United are making progress in the transfer market but it will definitely be another season where were fighting relegation. We have to be extra careful as there is over 100 people in Monasterevin and surrounding villages with Covid-19 and were going into the town very little.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD: FILMSTAR. TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT MONMORE: CONEY BOOM BOOM AND SWIFT GUARD. A PUP TO WATCH OUT FOR WHO IS JUST TRIALING IS SWIFT DICTATOR WHO DID 29.10 NORMAL GOING SECOND TIME IN THE TRAPS AT NEWCASTLE. 

SUNDAY 23TH AUGUST

Its a dry day we have change the beds in the garden paddock picked the stone and level the sand in the garden runs. clean the gutter in the kennels plus the every day jobs of cleaning, feeding cooking and letting dogs out in kennels.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT CENTRAL PARK. NORMANSLAND FLYER AND BRITANNIA WILL
