WEEK STARTING MONDAY 5TH OF DECEMBER

MONDAY 5TH DECEMBER

It has been a long day. I went for meat first thing this morning 5.30am got back to the kennels for 11am and then headed for Shelbourne Park after getting a late breakfast . As normal on Monday the traffic was bad coming home but is all worth it when you trailing top drawer hounds and at 8 o’clock at night we are doing the last job of the day which is journal after updating the dog for sale page. At the kennels the lads fed up early and we also got the delivery of Gain dog food and finish the major tidying up before cold spell arrives.

On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have two hounds on this week list Super nova at Yarmouth and at Romford Rails McCoy

TUESDAY 6TH DECEMBER

A cold dry day the plans today are a new phone all the waste away to the dump, change beds in the kennels and garden houses. My head lad Padgie  is at the doctor.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM OLD FORT BEETEE AND CHURHILL HOLLY.

WEDNESDAY 7TH DECEMBER

We are doing Wednesdays journal on Saturday morning, it was the start of the cold weather. I, went for more meat we could not hunt or gallop owing to the weather and the main job at the kennels was keeping dogs warm, changing beds and giving them plenty of good food and we also did a bit of maintenance work.

THURSDAY 8TH DECEMBER

We are doing Thursdays journal on Saturday morning, we had hounds that were sold leaving with Kevin Kelly going to the UK  for their new owners. I did my weekly run to the vets and we washed both of vans Thursday morning was very cold but in the afternoon turn in to a nice day. At the kennels it was another day when we can only change beds keep dogs warm and give them plenty food.

FRIDAY 9TH DECEMBER

We are doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning. It was blow freezing all day yesterday all taps were frozen so we had to carry water from my house, yesterday was a day for keeping dogs warm and give them plenty of food.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD SIX RUNNERS AT ROMFORD SLIDER MCCOY AND LILLIBETH ROYALE AND RAIL MCCOY AT OXFORD  MUXTON LOTTIE, MISS BIG PANTS AND WOTA SWELL PARTY.

SATURDAY 10TH DECEMBER

The coldest morning of the winter so far, again everything is frozen and we are have to carry water from my house. We need a whole load of bits and pieces from the hardware and TRI, we will get all our waste away as well and I have day trip to the UK to get breakfast cereal. The ferries are on the time so I will be home to watch England game in the world cup tonight.

SUNDAY 11TH DECEMBER

A very cold morning, we start at the kennels at 6am 7 day a week today it was -4 at 6am. so the main job today again is keeping hounds warm and feeding early and again feeding at 6pm to night
