STARTING MONDAY THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER

MONDAY THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER 

It’s been a long day and thank goodness it’s been dry like every Monday we have to feed all the dogs early, we had a brood for mating at the Dunphy’s stood so Johnathan best delivered her down to Waterford for us. There was a load of trials at Shelbourne today and we didn’t get home till 7pm the traffic as normal on a Monday was bad on the m7 but we have a load of top hounds which  makes the day most enjoyable. On this weeks Greyhound Star British performance of the week we have two hounds on this weeks list Swift Serena at Nottingham and Swift Raisin at Yarmouth

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT TOWCESTER LILLIBETH ROYALE TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY, OLD FORT BEETEE CHURCHILL BLAZE AND SWIFT SUPER

 

TUESDAY THE 29TH OF NOVEMBER 

Were doing Tuesdays journal on Wednesday evening. On Tuesday we needed meat all our waste away. It was a dry day and it wasn’t too cold at the kennels we did a bit of maintenance work hunted pups and tidied up all the garages

ON THE OPENING RACE SCENCE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER ON MONDAY NIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM OLD FORT BEETEE

 

WEDNESDAY THE 30TH OF NOVEMBER 

The worst job we do is collet fish at Killybeg’s as its a 11hr round trip but thankfully its done again as we do the journal at 5pm the lads are packing it away. At the kennels with the winter weather where changing beds every 2 to 3 days and that was the main job today we did a small swap around with the hound and pups and another mother (brood bitch) left for her retirement home it was a dry day so we hunted pups and all the work went well

THURSDAY THE 1ST OF DECEMBER 

Where doing Thursdays journal on Saturdays evening the weathers been good and we had no rain thank goodness over the last few days. On Thursday we needed meat we did more hunting and galloping washed the vans and got the dogs that are schooling checked by John O’Reilly. There was no open racing in the UK on Thursday night in Ireland Swift Halo won the 1500e A2 final in Enniscorthy in 28.60 F.T.O.N

 

FRIDAY 2ND OF DECEMBER

Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday evening on Friday we had two hounds getting prepared at the vets ready to go to their retirement home we needed a trip to the cash and carry we needed all our waste away we did maintenance work and did more hunting and galloping with hounds.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD EIGHT RUNNERS AT ROMFORD GRANACANTY BINGO, SLIDER MCCOY, RAIL MCCOY, LILLIBETH ROYALE AND SWIFT MELLOW AND AT OXFORD WATA SWELL PARTY, MUXTON LOTTIE AND MISS BIG PANTS

 

SATURDAY 3RD OF DECEMBER

It’s been another dry day and the day has gone well we tidied up the garages the freezer and all the pallets we did maintenance work and did more hunting and galloping the hounds. Swift Iconic trailed at Newcastle today ready for all England cup he did 28.56 first look at Newcastle and did sensational 4.47 sectional

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD FOUR WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD RAILS MCCOY AND SWIFT MELLOW AND AT OXFORD MUXTON LOTTIE AND MISS BIG PANTS AND TO TOP A GOOD NIGHT OFF WATA SWELL PARTY QUALIFIDED FOR THE NEXT ROUND OF THE BET 365 CHALLENGE CUP ALSO AT OXFORD. WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT: MOHICAN TARA AT HOVE AND WOODCOCK ARIA AT CRAYFORD.

Sunday 4th December:

The coldest day of the winter so far but thankfully its dry. It will be a typical Sunday where we tidy up the website, update the trace system and do small bits and pieces of paperwork. At the kennels it will be a day for cooking, feeding, cleaning and doing a small bit of tidying. We will also prepare for a busy week ahead.
