Monday 29th april:
A nice bright monday morning and thankfully we are over the stormy weather. A busy day ahead today starting with changing all beds in the kennels, we have straw to bag, our waste to go away, dogs from garden paddocks into the field and a massive tidy up around the yard after the storm. We also have supplies to collect and to be tidied away so if we can complete all this we will have a good day. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT BISCUIT. TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT TAXMAN AND WOKEEN.
Tuesday 30th april:
A wet start to the day with plenty to do. We have more beds to change, trials at newbridge, the big tidy up to finish off, our waste straw to go away and straw to bag. Swift blitz and swift sandy are having better days thank goodness. Padgie has got the flu and he has only told me 50 times. We will probably hunt a few pups if all goes well and if we get all this done we will have another good day work wise. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS AT SHEFFIELD CONEY SABELLA, CONEY CASSIUS, CONEY BOOM BOOM, CONEY KUONI, HAGGSWOOD RIVER AND GRUMPY TINKER.
Wednesday 1st may:
A gorgeous morning for the first day of may and a busy morning so far as we had supplies arrive from the UK to pack away. First thing swift blitz and swift sandy are better again today, yesterday i thought i had seen everything with greyhounds until we trialled at newbridge when i sent padgie out with the dogs to clean themselves in the middle of the track, a live hare got up and ran half way around the track and then escaped into the countryside you talk about living dangerous. Its the second day of punchestown and a local trainer says his horse cannot get beat tonight so we wish him the best of luck as i do not gamble as i have heard these stories too many times. At the kennels we will finish the tidying up, collect supplies, do maintenance work on the gallop and tidy the garden up. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SHEFFIELD HAGGSWOOD RIVER.
Thursday 2nd may:
A nice, bright and dry start to the morning thankfully as we have plenty to do. The good news first swift blitz and swift sandy who live in the house with me are both doing well again but we will take it one day at a time. The tip for the horse won and all the lads backed it but me plus the whole of the town. The main job of the day is to gallop dogs. We have the garage to tidy up, freezer to tidy,beds to be changed everywhere and finish the last of the major tidy up around the yard. If we manage to get all this done we will have a succesful days work. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT HOVE SWIFT BISCUIT.
Friday 3rd May:
Its an overcast morning but I dont think it will rain. It will be a day for collecting supplies, getting rid of our waste and collecting Royal Canin puppy nuts from the vets. Plus the everyday jobs of cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting out.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: THYMELEA ARCHER, SAVANNAH ZEPPLIN, SWIFT SABBATH AND LEEDON BACARDI.
Saturday 4th May:
Its a lovely day. Were worming and treating dogs for fleas which is going to take two days to do. Were also changing beds. I have been to the Cash and Carry. The next job is to collect food for pups and veg. It has been a hectic week but all has gone well. The main jobs that havent been done yet is the VAT which will be done tomorrow morning, getting quotes for the van insurance and doing the up and coming list on the website.

Sunday 5th may:
We never got a chance to do the journal yesterday so we are doing it on monday morning, the weather was good which always helps and it was a typical sunday where we cooked, cleaned, fed and let dogs out that are in kennels. We also had visitors. Swift blitz and swift sandy had another good day. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE RUNNERS. AT HENLOW REARGAURD GIZMO, AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT BRILLO AND SWIFT REGAL.
