WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 6TH OF MAY

MONDAY THE 6TH OF MAY

Its an overcast morning but the forecast is for a nice day. Its a bank holiday but when you have greyhounds its a normal day. We are going to gallop and hunted hounds, we need food for pups from the supermarket, the vans are to get wash as well and we will do tidy up a round the yards

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD FOUR WINNERS YESTERDAY AT TOWCESTER WRIGTHY. AT SHEFFIELD UNAMINOUS LEON .  AND AT CRAYFORD SWIFT ACCOLADE AND SWIFT QUINCEY

Tuesday 7th May:

The weather has been good for the full week. We had hounds leave with Michael Flynn for the UK. We had hounds come back from Droopys Stud with Aidan McCallister. We needed meat. The grass and weeds are growing like mad so we did a bit of gardening and strimming. We also galloped and hunted pups.

Wednesday 8th May:

We had hounds that were sold leave for the UK with Ross Myles. I did our weekly trip to the vets. We had kennel space so we swapped hounds around from rearing paddocks to sand runs and from sand runs into kennels. Results have gone right for Newcastle in our challenge for a European place.

Thursday 9th May:

We hunted pups, continued on with gardening and strimming. We needed food for pups from the supermarket. We needed cod liver oil and cider vinegar from Floods in Newbridge and calcium from TRI. We continued on swapping around hounds from rearing paddocks to sand runs and from sand runs into kennels. On a concerning note Swift Vicki who lives in the house with me who is thoroughly enjoying her retirement has not been herself the last few days, She loves to get out and wander through the fields but its getting too much for her.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT HOVE SWIFT RADIANTLY. AT SWINDON MOHICAN FLORENCE

Friday 10th May:

The first job on Friday was to collect meat as we were completely out of it. We had to have everything done a little earlier as we had trials at Shelbourne in the afternoon. We had 9 hounds there. We were in and out in 20 minutes. The track was done perfectly. The hounds ran fantastic and the traffic was quiet going up and down.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT ROMFORD: FAB ROY AND SWIFT DEPOT.

Saturday 11th May:

We have updated the website. We have had a delivery from Red Mills. We need all our waste away and we also need food for pups from the supermarket. At the kennels we hope to gallop and prepare more hounds for schooling. Three games left in the Premiership and Newcastle United need 7 points to guarantee a European place. Thats if Man Utd and Chelsea win their last three games. Whatever happens Newcastle need to win against Brighton today. We are 1/2 and the bookies normally get it right. We need a little bit of work done on one of the vans. The weather is good again.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT MONMORE SWIFT MARIA. AT OXFORD: SWIFT GIDDY.

Sunday 12th May:

It will be a typical Sunday where we do the paperwork, make all the lists for the coming week, collect food for pups from the supermarket. Newcastle’s hopes of moving closer to their second successive European qualification hang in the balance following a frustrating draw in their final home game. Much still remains to be sorted though in our final two away games this Wednesday and Sunday, with a three horse race between ourselves, Chelsea and Manchester United for two European spots – plus the scenario of the Red Devils nabbing a place by winning the FA Cup.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT MONMORE SWIFT MARIA. WE HAVE 11 RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT ACCOLADE, SWIFT PRESTON, SWIFT AIM, SWIFT DELTA, SWIFT QUINCEY, IANS WARRIER, SWIFT ALIEN AND SWIFT JOCK. AT TOWCESTER: WRIGHTY AND YOU TWO. AT SHEFFIELD DUBAI KID.
