MONDAY THE 6TH OF APRIL
Its 31 years today to the day since I moved into Lughill Kennels. The plans for Monday we are going to take photos of our January , February and March which are the start of our 2025 saplings and add them to greyhound data to see the photographs just click on their name on the top of their profile box on the dog for sale page which will take you to greyhound data. We will get hounds checked that are schooling and I also have hounds to deliver. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on this weeks list Swift Ecology at Kinsley. The write up below taking from the star.
27.95 in an A4 winning effort was enough to see Swift Ecology claim POW at Kinsley. She is a half-sister to Sheffield track record holder Swift Hostile and a litter sister to multiple Central Park open race winner Martindale Lad, so it is no surprise that early pace is her weapon of choice, winning for the seventh time in her career.

TUESDAY THE 7TH OF APRIL
A nice day but a bit cool and no chance of rain. Once we get the kennels all done and cleaned , the garden paddocks and the rearing paddocks fed the rest of the day will be took up preparing hounds for schooling. We have a load of supplies to order and with a bit of look we will give the whole place a tidy up.
WEDNESDAY THE 8TH OF APRIL
AS WE GET THE OPEN RACE RUNNERS WE WILL ADD THEM TO THIS WEEKS JOURNAL
A nice dry morning but again its a bit cool. The plans for today are we need all our waste away , we also need meat and I will have to go to Dealz to get disinfectant. We have a van load of paper bedding that just arrive to keep us going until we can get an artic load. We have time dog food to pack away and we have several litters of 8 week old pups to go into the concrete yards as we put the pups in we will worm them , trim their nails and give them their second injection.
THURSDAY THE 9TH OF APRIL
A cold dry day and we are down to one van as a pipe is burst in the 202 van. Its only a minute job to do but my mechanic is away on holiday to Poland so were going to have to mange with one van until Monday when he is back in Ireland. We have been to Droopys stud to collect the broods that have been mated. We have put all the photos on to greyhound data of our January , February and March saplings and we are now off to Kilkenny for trials.
FRIDAY THE 10TH OF APRIL
A cold dry morning and the fuel protests in Ireland still continue and I’m going to try to get to the vets in Cashel today. We have the digger coming to dig holes so we can do more fronts of the rearing paddocks. We have naming forms to send to the ICC. We have hounds getting checked that are schooling. We have maintenance work to do and everything is going well.

SATURDAY THE 11TH OF APRIL
Its a cold dry morning. We had a delivery of Red Mills at 6am. We need meat and were going to finish off the front of the rearing paddocks. After today we will only have three to do. Its a nightmare trying to get anywhere with the fuel protesters. The Premiership is back today. Its also Grand National day so plenty to watch.

SUNDAY THE 12TH OF APRIL
It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up with paperwork.
