MONDAY THE 4TH OF MAY
It was a bank holiday but it was more or less a normal day at the kennels. First a disaster I day tripped England for cereal and I decided the push on the boat home I was on the weighbridge booking on and went to start the van after getting my booking completed and the engine blow Irish ferries couldn’t be more help full as they towed me on and towed me off and got me a taxi to Huston station , carried my bag and made me a cup of coffee got customs to come to me to clear the van and I was home an hour and a half after getting off the ferry. At the kennels we have swapped hounds around wormed pups and got organized for a very busy week. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have two hounds on the list Swift Kipper at Nottingham and Vanessas Tiger at the Valley. The write ups below are taking from the greyhound star
For the second week in a row, Swift Kipper was the winner at Nottingham. Terry Munslow’s bitch has been in flying form over both the 480m and 500m distance of late and is going to be building a nice fan club at the Colwick Park circuit. Last Monday’s win was her seventh from her last 10 starts.
The move from Swindon to the Valley has been the making of Vanessas Tiger who picked up his third win at the track. 16.02 was a new best run at the track from him, a time that just saw him into the top 15 of the year over 260m.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT HOME AND SWIFT KIPPER.
TUESDAY THE 5TH OF MAY
We need meat , the 202 van brought back from Dublin port , loads of supplies to order and at the Kennels the whole day will be took up by preparing hounds for schooling.
WEDNESDAY THE 6TH OF MAY
A lovely day, we changed all the beds in every kennel, we have all the hounds checked ready for schooling tomorrow. We are delivering the hounds in the UK that are sold with Darragh Ryan. We had delivery of Time dog food and we have done a tidy up.
THURSDAY THE 7TH OF MAY
Another lovely day we had hounds that were sold leave for Europe with in Ian Waterworth and I also had a hound to deliver in Ireland that was sold as well and I got held up so pagie had to meet me with the small van which can carry only three dogs so I didn’t have enough time to come back and load fourteen hounds so we might trial hounds on Monday at Kilkenny. I got the van back from Dublin port that blow an engine. We named a load of hounds so the naming forms will have to be sent off to the ICC. Its been a few hectic days at the kennels and today was no different
I WILL ADD OUR OPEN RACE RUNNERS EITHER FRIDAY OR SATURDAY OF THIS WEEK
