WEEK STARTING MONDAY 28TH OF JUNE

Monday 28th June:

We are doing the journal at 6pm at night. My day started at 5.30 am I was in Clonmel at 8.30 am with a brood bitch for Magical Bale, what a set up the Burke’s have. Then I have to be at the vets at 10 o’clock and in between I went to the bakers, butchers and bank I was back for 11.45 got a bath and went to Shelbourne Park for trials. At the kennels Padgie had all the work and feeding done by I was back so a busy day and trials went brilliant so also a very good day. on this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have two hounds on the list rail Mccoy at henlow and that perry barr swift launch.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT  AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY AND CHURHILL DUKE

Tuesday 29th June:

We are doing Tuesdays journal on Wednesday morning as my head lad Padgie had the day off. The day went well and the sales department was very busy, we have started tidy up the rearing paddocks and changing the beds.

Wednesday 30th June:

A lovely day and a busy day we have been to the vets at Cashel, we had a brood come back from Dunphy’s stud after being mated. We need our waste away, food for pups, muzzles, calcium and a whole hip of small things. At the kennels the tidy up continues in the rearing paddocks and we will do a swap around with pups and saplings.

Thursday 1st July:

A nice day again and every bitch is in season on my place with the heat. We need supplies we have John Nolan coming to earmark pups, we have paper work to do, we are getting the hounds checked that are schooling and we will probably gallop a few hounds as well.

Friday 2nd July:

A cool morning and we have been galloping hounds since 6am which will be the main job today. We need supplies, our waste away and we have brood bitch to collect from Sean Burke we also have to go to vets at Cashel so busy day.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD TONIGHT SWIFT RAISIN

Saturday 3rd July:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as it was a hectic day. I had supplies to collect and I had to go to the vets. At the kennels we levelled out the sand runs in the garden paddocks, changed beds and galloped.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT TOWCESTER SWIFT COPE.

Sunday 4th July:

We have had heavy rain overnight which is needed for the rearing paddocks. Were going to finish off levelling the sand runs in the garden paddocks, were getting hounds checked that are schooling. Other than this it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT SWINDON MASSIVE EGO. LAST NIGHT SWIFT COPE QUALIFIED FOR THE DERBY PLATE FINAL AT  TOWCESTER.
