WEEK STARTING MONDAY 5TH OF JULY

Monday 5th July:

A nice day and not to hot and perfect for trialling at Shelbourne Park which is the main job of today. We need supplies, food for pups we did all the paper work at the weekend so that will have to be posted off. We go the sand run finished in the garden paddocks. On the Greyhound Star British Performance of the week we have Rails McCoy from Henlow.

Tuesday 6th July:

A wet day and we also had  rain over night which is needed for the rearing paddocks and the gallop.  We need our waste away to the dump, as normal we need supplies, food for pups from supermarket and we will do a tidy up in the garages and our usually everyday jobs.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER CHURCHILL HOLLY AT NOTTINGHAM.

Wednesday 7th July:

No rain but overcast and very heavy rain over night and probably more rain today. I have just met Ross Myles as we have hounds going to the UK that are sold, we are going do swap around with saplings and kennel dogs, we have to go to Red Mills and Droopys Stud and whole lot more bits and pieces to do.

Thursday 8th July:

Another nice morning and plenty to do as normal. We have supplies to collect, we need our waste away, a trip to the vet and we also have to go to Cash and Carry. At the kennels it will be a day for galloping and hunting.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER SWIFT JAGUAR

Friday 9th July:

It’s a cold but dry day. We need loads of supplies such as fish so I have to go to Killybegs. Our Red Mills order arrived so that was packed away and we are cutting the grass in the rearing paddocks. We changed all the beds in the kennels and in the rearing houses, we also injected all the pups so it’s been a good day.

Saturday 10th July:

Its an overcast morning but I don’t think we will get rain. We emptied the fish out of the van this morning. We need supplies. We have broods going to Dunphys Stud for mating. We have the first of our retired hounds going to their new home. The main job at the kennels is galloping, changing the last of the beds, gardening, preparing dogs for schooling and hunting.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT TOWCESTER POTENT TOUCH. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER IN THE DERBY PLATE FINAL AT TOWCESTER SWIFT COPE.

Sunday 11th July:

Its an overcast morning but I don’t think we will get rain. Its a big day in the soccer with England playing at 8pm tonight. I’ll watch the game at home. Its 16 month since I had a drink. At the kennels it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, let hounds out of kennels and feed. We also have a bit of paperwork to do. With a bit of luck we will also get our gardens tidied up.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT: MASSIVE EGO AT SWINDON.
