WEEK STARTING MONDAY 31ST AUGUST

Monday 31st August:

It’s a nice sunny morning, we need supplies and we need to take all the rubbish away. At the kennels we cook, clean, feed and let dogs out of kennels. We will also change a few beds and tidy up all around.

Tuesday 1st September:

Nice day and the main job of today is galloping around 50 hounds, collecting supplies and doing a tidy up.

Wednesday 2nd September:

Rain all day and stopped us from doing outside work, we had fish to collect from Killybegs, we are worming all hounds for second time plus everyday jobs like cleaning, cooking and letting dogs out from kennels.

Friday 4th September:

Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning. It was a day for getting caught up with everything and getting fully stocked with supplies. We had a trip to the Cash and Carry. We also had to go to the supermarket to get food for young pups and we took all our waste to the dump. At the kennels we continued on worming dogs, injecting young pups and tidying up.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT ROMFORD SWIFT TARQUIN.

Saturday 5th September:

A very busy day. At 7:30am we have already got the grass cut in half the rearing paddocks. Were changing the beds in the houses in the rearing paddocks. We have maintenance work to do on the gallop. Whatever happens we will take all the photographs of our August 2019 hounds and add them to greyhound data. There is paperwork to do (litter forms and Vat). We have supplies to collect and more worming and injecting to do. I am back from another spell in hospital. My  hemoglobin dropped to 5.3 last Saturday evening when it should be between 14 and 17 as I had a massive loss of blood. Today Im miles better but very tired. Hopefully my new doctor will put this right as it has been going on for years. Im now going to be treated as an outpatient. We have a heap of dogs that we have to start and school which is my favorite job. Im looking forward to starting them as a heap of them are stunning lookers and showing loads of ability on the gallop.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT TARQUIN.

Sunday 6th September:

The work went well yesterday along with the update of the website. We will get the last of the work on the website finished today. We will hopefully get the Vat done as we have hounds to gallop and we have to get the dogs checked that are schooling. Newcastle United have had a very poor pre-season, If we dont get into the transfer market thing look very bleak for the coming season. We have a very busy week ahead of us but I have it all planned out so it should go well.
