WEEK STARTING MONDAY 30TH OF NOVEMBER

Monday 30th November:

We are doing Mondays journal on Tuesdays morning along with the dog for sale page as the site went down last night thankfully it’s up and running again. Yesterday we had supplies to collect the main job was schooling in Shelbourne Park and we had a couple of repair jobs to do at the kennels and the day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT BISCUIT AND SWIFT GUARD.

Tuesday 1st December:

The lockdown has ended in Ireland and the roads are very busy today. We have been to the dump already, and the main job of today is galloping and hunting.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT GUARD LAST NIGHT.

Wednesday 2nd December:

A cold morning and a busy day, we need supplies, we have hounds going to the UK that are sold.  The main jobs at the kennels today are galloping, preparing hounds for schooling with a load of homework to be done with them. A trip to the supermarket for food for baby pups and whatever happens I need to go to the accountant with a load of paper work.

Thursday 3rd December:

Were doing Thursdays journal on Saturday morning as its been a busy couple of days. On Thursday we went to the Cash and Carry and we just got there in time as the queue was around the car park 5 minutes after we arrived. I went to the UK on the Thursday afternoon boat and the customs are going to be a nightmare. They have bought the truck stop at Holyhead and from January 1st next year before you get on to the boat all paperwork and your load has to be checked by customs.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO RUNNERS IN THE OAKS AT SWINDON CHURCHILL HOLLY AND FANTASTICAL.

Friday 4th December:

The weather was absolutely terrible in Ireland and the UK. We got the dogs checked that are schooling, we did a major tidy up of the garages, fridge and all our storage areas. We were hoping to gallop but couldnt because of the weather.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD SWIFT TARQUIN WHO I BELIEVE COULD BE RETIRED AFTER A FANTASTIC CAREER AFTER LAST NIGHTS RUN AS JAMES AND JOHN WRIGHT WHO OWN HIM HAVE GOT A SUPER HOME FOR HIM. BOTH FANTASTICAL AND CHURCHILL HOLLY QUALIFIED FOR THE SEMI FINAL OF THE OAKS.

Saturday 5th December:

Its a dry morning thank goodness and our supplies arrived from the UK which we have packed away already. We have more supplies to collect and we need all our waste away. We will try and gallop a few hounds and that will be as much as we can do today.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT MONMORE: SHESELLSSEASHELLS.

Sunday 6th December:

When we started at 6 am today the fog was like pea soup. Hopefully it clears. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, let hounds out of kennels and feed. We will probably do a few nails. We have passports to organize for dogs that are sold going to the UK. We also have to wash the vans, make all the lists and get organized for a very busy week.
