WEEK STARTING MONDAY 26TH OF JANUARY

MONDAY 26TH OF JANUARY

We are having rain like never before. Monday and today it rained from the heavens all day. We had dogs  leaving for the UK that are sold but Ross Myles had to bring them back last night as all the ferries are off. We needed food for pups. We got all our waste away and all we could do was feed up , tidy up and keep big  dry   beds under all hounds and pups. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have two hounds on this weeks list. At Sheffield Swift Hostile and at Romford  Tiffield Tarquin.

The article is taking from from the greyhound star.

Swift Hostile was the second track record breaker of the week, dipping inside the sprint clock at Sheffield. Half a length was shaved off the previous best which had been set by Coolavanny Galiv back in 2022. A. top grade winner over four bends, that trip has always looked far enough for him and the drop back to sprinting has proven to be an excellent decision.

Romford on Friday night saw the conclusion of the first Category One of the year, the Coral Essex Vase. Nobody would begrudge Tiffield Tarquin his day in the sun, winning a final at this level for the first time. He is one of the most consistent types in training over four and six bends, showing track smarts as well as brute pace to land himself the win.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER YESTERDAY AT SHEFFIELD SWIFT HOSTILE. WHO SET THE NEW TRACK RECORD

TUESDAY THE 27TH OF JANUARY

Another day off non stop rain. We were changing beds in the rearing paddocks and doing a swap around with pups and saplings. We needed more meat and we also went on a trip to Dealz to get disinfectant.

WEDNESDAY THE 28TH OF JANUARY

WE WILL ADD OUR OPEN RACE RUNNERS AND WINNRERS THIS WEEKEND

Again on Wednesday the rain has never stopped. Ross Myles collected the hounds that are sold for the UK as the ferries are running again. We did a major swap around with hounds , pups and saplings. We got the beds in the rearing paddocks changed as we were doing the swap around with all the offspring we were trimming nails and worming. A major draw for Newcastle united in the Champions League last night and we got the 191 all ready for its yearly test.

THURSDAY THE 29TH OF JANUARY

The rain was on and off all day. We had a brood have pups early this morning she had seven pups she started at 4:30am and was finished for 7:30am. I had a brood to collect from cuddy’s stud on the way back i got food for pups and delivered a hound that was sold. We were fed up early for the main job of the day trialing in Kilkenny and at 6:30pm I’m all caught up with the website and the day is finished.
