MONDAY THE 25TH OF MARCH
A mix day of weather the day got off to a bad start as I blow a tire of the van thankfully there was no damage and no one was hurt so the first job is to put a new tire on to the van and then we had loads of supplies to collect. As normal on a Monday we had to have all hounds fed and kennels done for 12 o’clock when we finish the journal we are off to the main jog today trailing and handslips at Shelbourne park we will update the dog for sale page tonight around 6 pm.

TUESDAY THE 26TH OF MARCH
A mix day of weather and the first job of the day was collecting meat , we needed all our waste away , we have been changing beds in all the kennels and we got half of the beds changed in the rearing houses. We have started a major program of worming cutting nails of all hounds and doing a major swap around with pups , saplings and kennel dogs .
WEDNESDAY THE 27TH OF MARCH
We will start today’s journal off with very sad news swift magnetic had to be put to sleep she breed a group one winner swift silly and a load of top hounds.
THURSDAY THE 28TH OF MARCH
We had a very nice day of weather today, The first job of the day I had go to the vets to get some supplies and on the way back I got food for pups from the supermarket. We did a major tidy up around the yard and the main job at the kennels was to swap around hounds saplings and pups as they had to be wormed plus we’re also cutting their nails.

FRIDAY THE 29TH OF MARCH
What a day I had on Friday I had hounds to deliver to the north that were sold and as normal were short of kennels so I decided to take them. I was only 40 minutes from Killybegs so I decided to collect fish also. The traffic was horrendous and I got loaded with top class mackrel. Coming home the traffic was bad all the way back. I got back to Moate on the motorway and was overtaking a truck and I blew a tire. I definitely thought my end had come. Thankfully I got over to the hard shoulder and I ended off on the grass. Padgie had to come with a spare tyre and we had to change it on the side of the motorway. We have had two punctures this week and one blowout. At the kennels Padgie got the big swap around with pups, saplings and kennel dogs done. The major tidy up continued on. Thankfully the weather was good.

SATURDAY THE 30TH OF MARCH
Its another lovely day. We have John O’Reilly coming to check hounds that are schooling. We need meat and since the weather is good we will continue on with the big tidy up. Newcastle United play today. I dont like Easter weekends because I’ve had nothing but bad luck in the past but lets hope Newcastle get a result today. I will probably fetch Swift Hazel into the house this weekend as she is now retured.

SUNDAY 31ST MARCH:
It will be a typical Sunday at the kennels where we do the paperwork, collect food for pups from the supermarket. We will finish the tidy up and probably worm and cut the nails on the pups. All I can say about the Newcastle game against West Ham is it was absolutely fantastic and had me sitting at the edge of my seat.
