Monday 22nd February:
Were doing Mondays journal on Sunday afternoon as Monday is going to be a very busy day. I have to go to the Cash and Carry, TRI in Newbridge and I also have to trial dogs at Shelbourne. In between all of this there are letters to post, saplings to hunt, I have to collect two hounds from the Casey brothers as they want them trialled at Shelbourne as well.
Tuesday 23th February:
A very wet and windy day so no work outside and less there is a break in the weather and we will hunt pups. We need a load of stuff from Cash and Carry, I have a hound to deliver in Ireland. We need our waste away and we will do a maintenance work and we will tidy up.
Wednesday 24th February:
A dry morning thank goodness. The main job is worming hounds, hunting pups, collecting fish from Killybegs. We need food for pups plus the everyday jobs of cleaning, cooking, feeding also collecting a brood that has been mated.
Thursday 25th February:
A beautiful morning spring is on its way. We need fish as didn’t get yesterday more supplies, pups to hunt. We have Red Mills coming and we have loads of bits and pieces to order. I was going to the UK but the ferries are off and it’s a busy weekend at the kennels so just as well. We need passports at the vets for hounds going to the UK.
Friday 26th February:
We are doing Fridays journal on 3pm on Friday afternoon it’s been a busy day but all gone well. We needed supplies, pups to hunt, dogs to get checked all our waste away and massive tidy up and maintenance work plus all the everyday jobs.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT AT ROMFORD MASSIVE EGO, SWIFT ADDITION, SWIFT COPE AND PIPAPIPAPOPS.
Saturday 27th February:
Its a nice dry morning but a bit cool. We have a brood for mating and I think she is going to Good News. We have supplies to collect, pups to hunt and a tidy up to do as we need a load of supplies next week. Newcastle United have a massive game against Wolves. We have hounds that are sold going to the UK tonight.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD SWIFT COPE. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT MONMORE SWIFT LETTUCE.
Sunday 28th February:
Its another nice dry morning and its going to get up to 12 degrees again today. As we do the journal at 8am the hounds that were sent to the UK last night are now all delivered with Ross Myles. We will hunt pups and put small pups into the big concrete yard. We will fill up our rodent boxes, we have bits of paperwork to do and we will prepare for a busy week. Newcastle United got a point last night. March will be a massive month for them as we have games that we could win against West Brom, Aston Villa and Brighton.
