WEEK STARTING MONDAY 1ST OF NOVEMBER

Monday 1st November:

We had heavy rain and wind over night but thankfully it’s a nice morning with no wind. The main job today is trialing in Shelbourne Park, we have all ready been to the dump and supermarket to get food for the pups. On the Greyhound Star British Performance of the week we have one hound on it Churchill Holly at Nottingham.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY, CHURCHILL LULU, CONEY KRAKATOA AND AT DONCASTER SWIFT LITHAL.

Tuesday 2nd November:

A nice but cold morning and plenty to do. We have to tidy up garage for Red Mills Dog Food and that has to be packed away. We need  supplies and another trip to the dump and we will do our everyday jobs like cooking, feeding an cleaning at the kennels.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT  SWIFT LEATHAL AT DONCASTER.

Wednesday 3rd November

A nice dry day but a lot colder the main job today is hunting and galloping and preparing dogs for schooling which will take all day.

Thursday 4th November:

A cold dry morning and the main job today is changing the beds in the kennels and preparing dogs for schooling. We need supplies our waste away and a whole hip of bits and pieces. On the fastest time of the year on the Greyhound Star website Churchill Holly is the fastest over the 500M and 480M.

Friday 5th November:

A cold and dry morning the main job of today is preparing more hounds for schooling. We have to get hounds marked up that are sold by John Nolans, we have to get passport done by the vet for hounds that are sold and going to UK  and we also need paper bedding.

Saturday 6th November:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as I took the day off. The only thing I did was get myself fruit from the shop. At the kennels we prepared more dogs for schooling which took most of the day. Other than that we did maintenance work on the brood bitch paddocks and a bit of paperwork.

Sunday 7th November:

Its a cold dry morning with no chance of rain. The main jobs today are finishing the maintenance work on the brood bitch paddocks, doing work on the website and preparing for a busy week. We will also try to get caught up with all paperwork.
