We are also doing a big tidy up in the garage because we have supplies coming soon. At the kennels we will feed, clean and cook as we do every day so a very busy day.

Thursday 21th January:

A nice dry day and we are doing a massive swap with pups, saplings and kennel dogs. W are hunting pups and the weather is good and dry. Just had Ross Miles on the phone and it’s all go for the first load of hounds going to the UK next week and by tomorrow we will have all the work done on both vans. My neck is just about right but I will have to go back to the back man to give it another twist to get it a 100%.

Friday 22th January:

A cold dry morning with frost. The plans for today are the finish the swap around with pups and saplings, collect supplies and also collect fish from Killybegs. We got the vans all fixed last night and with a bit of luck we will hunt a few pups.

Saturday 23rd January:

Its a cold dry morning with frost. Our first artic load of supplies has arrived from the UK so they will have to be emptied and packed away. The next bit of good news Ross Miles is definitely going out this week with the first lot of our hounds that are sold. He is also going to do a weekend run to Ferrybrdge and Durham services starting next Saturday 30th January. Pat O’Hare resumes transporting on 3rd February so our backlog of dogs that are sold will all be away by 3rd February. Newcastle United need a result tonight. The plans for the day at the kennels are to get our waste away, we need food for pups, we will get the final bits of work done to both vans by our mechanic. We also need a trip to the Cash and Carry.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT MONMORE SWIFT LETTUCE. AT CRAYFORD NORMANSLANDS FLYER AND SWIFT JAGUAR.

Sunday 24th January:

Its a cold morning with frost and a touch of snow so we will be limited with what we can do workwise. Padgie my head lad is off today. It will be a day for keeping dogs warm, cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting hounds out that are in kennels. There wont be anything else we can do other than tidy up and prepare for the coming week. Newcastle United were rubbish last night. We are definitely heading for a relegation battle.
