WEEK STARTING MONDAY 17TH OF OCTOBER

Monday 17th October:

A wet and windy day and a busy day. We had dog food to collect this morning a trip to the vet all the paper work to post off and we had to have all hounds fed before 12 o’clock and we only had one van to go to Shelbourne Park so we only took 10 hounds for trials and handslips but the day has gone well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT CHURCHILL HOLLY AT NOTTINGHAM

Tuesday 18th October:

Nice day but cold thankfully no rain. We have hounds that are sold going to the UK with Ross Myles, we need all our waste away a trip to the cash and carry, food for pups and at the kennels it will be a day for tidying up doing a swap around with hounds and worming pups.

Wednesday 19th October:

Were doing Wednesdays journal on Sunday morning. When we do the journal late it means we’ve had a very busy week. This week has been non stop. I was in the UK twice for supplies and I was in Killybegs collecting fish. Wednesday was the day I went for fish.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT SWIFT KETTLE AT HARLOW.

Thursday 20th October:

Were doing Thursdays journal on Sunday morning. I was in the UK on Thursday. At the kennels Padgie prepared dogs for schooling which took all day. Everything went well.

Friday 21st October:

The weather was good on Friday. We had John Nolan here earmarking pups and marking dogs up into their identity book which took all day. We also got hounds that are schooling checked by John O’Reilly. The day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT AT ROMFORD: MISS BIG PANTS, SLIDERS MCCOY, RAILS MCCOY AND SWIFT MELLOW.

Saturday 22nd October:

Saturday was a busy day as we had supplies come from the UK. They turned up two hours late but we got through the day well. We needed all our waste away and we also needed meat and food for pups from the supermarket.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD: MISS BIG PANTS, RAILS MCCOY AND SWIFT MELLOW (Swift Mellow was a half length off the track record). TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER: VIXONS FLACON AT MONMORE.

Sunday 23rd October:

Its a big day today as my head lad Padgie has the day off for his sons 12th birthday. We all wish Kuba a very happy birthday. As we do the journal at 8am we have a bit of rain. It will be a day for feeding, cleaning kennels, letting hounds out that are in kennels and cleaning. Whatever happens at 4:30 today I will be watching Newcastle on the TV against Spurs. Were a different team now and I think we will get a result.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT VIXONS FALCON AT MONMORE. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER: SWIFT ONION AT TOWCESTER.
