Monday 16th January:
We have just updated the dog for sale page which is the last job of the day, trials and handslips went fantastic today at Shelbourne Park which was the main job of today. It was very cold this morning but not as bad as the forecast predicted. I had to go to Red Mills this morning as we run out of racer and we also needed dry meat. As normal on Monday we had to be fed up for lunch time the traffic was good the trials went fantastic and the top off a good weekend Newcastle United won again yesterday.

TUESDAY 17TH JANUARY
We are doing Tuesday’s journal on Wednesday morning, I had to day trip England as we ran out of bedding it took a half an hour to defrost the van before I left at 5 AM and the ferry’s were packed with trucks, At the kennels all we could do due to the weather was tidy up and keep dogs warm and give them extra food.
WEDNESDAY 18TH JANUARY
We got up to snow today and it’s very cold, I have a brood to collect from Droopy’s Stud also have one to drop off, It’s another day where we can do nothing outside due to the small bit of snow and it’s -2 so we’ll do another tidy up and that’s all we can do
THURSDAY 19TH JANUARY
We are doing Thursday journal on Friday evening it was a bad day all round the weather was very cold and frosty, the 191 van broke down and I went in to a ditch with 202 van. We had meat to collect at the kennels it was another day where we could only feed and let dogs out in the kennels as the weather was bad.
FRIDAY 20TH JANUARY
Another cold and frosty day, we got all the hounds checked that are schooling , got all the waste away to the dump we also went to the cash and carry and our red mills dog food arrived.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNER TWO NIGHT AT OXFORD IN THE FINAL OF THE WKH DIAMOND STAKES WE HAVE WOTA SWELL PARTY AND MOHICAN TARA ALSO AT OXFORD MOHICAN ROSE AND MOHICAN BERNARD,AT ROMFORD IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE ESSEX VASE WE HAVE SWIFT MELLOW ALSO AT ROMFORD WE HAVE SLIDER MCCOY AND SUPA NOVA.
Saturday 21st January:
Breeding greyhounds is full of highs and lows just after Mohican Tara previous name Swift Tara won her category 1 final last night I got bad news I need a engine for 191 van last night and trying to find an engine for the van is a nightmare. I was up early on the road for meat as we are down to one van at the kennels we added the photos to greyhound data and we done it tidy up as this is the first day this week we haven’t frost.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT MOHICAN TARA WON THE FINAL (CATEGORY 1) £10000 TO THE WINNER WKH DIAMOND STAKES AND SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT SWIFT ILLICIT, SWIFT BAWDY AND MASSIVE EGO AT CRAYFORD AND TRUBBYS SWIFT, MUXTON LOTTIE, HITTHELIDS MYLO AT MONMORE.
Sunday 22nd January:
The weather has improved and the frost has gone. We have a load of paperwork to do an we have to prepare for a busy week ahead. At the kennels it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. Newcastle United got a point against Crystal Palace last night. We played very well but just couldn’t score.
