WEEK STARTING 9TH JANUARY

MONDAY 9TH JANUARY:

We just updated the dog for sale page at 6.30 pm and that’s the last job today I had to go for Kasco dog food at 6 am today and for one reason or another I had to go to Shelbourne myself a big thanks to young Billy who helped me at Shelbourne, so we only took 14 hounds at the kennels all we could do owing to the weather was the Everday jobs the feeding, cleaning and cooking.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD ONE WINNER AT KINSLEY YESTERDAY AUSSIE MCCOY. TONIGHT, WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL BLAZE.

TUESDAY 10TH JANUARY:

The last job of the day is updating the weekly journal at 5pm it has rained all night and all day I was at the vet’s first thing today getting Swift Feline and Swift Dessert ready to go to their retirement home I also had the five hounds with me that are sold going to the UK with Ross Miles tomorrow getting the last of the passport work done and on the way back I had to deliver a hound that I sold at the kennels we wormed the all brood bitches did their nails and gave them a check over and a big night for Newcastle United in the EFL cup tonight .

Wednesday 11th January:

We’re doing Wednesday’s journal on Sunday morning as the week has gone well but we’ve been busy. The hounds that were sold and going out with Ross Myles greyhound transport were held back a day as the ferries were cancelled. On Wednesday we needed meat, we did a swap around with hounds and continued on worming hounds and cutting their nails. Newcastle United are now in the semi-finals on the EFL cup.

Thursday 12th January:

We’re doing Thursday’s journal on Sunday morning. We continued on worming pups, cutting their nails and preparing hounds for schooling. The weather was dry and the day went well.

Friday 13th January:

We had John Nolan here on Friday marking up dogs. We prepared hounds for schooling, continued on worming hounds, cutting nails and changing beds in the kennels. We had a load of bits and pieces to collect from dried meat to other bits and pieces from the vets.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD SIX RUNNERS ON FRIDAY.  AT OXFORD: MOHICAN ROSE, MOHICAN TARA AND WOTA SWELL PARTY. AT ROMFORD: MISS BIG PANTS, SWIFT MELLOW AND SLIPER MCCOY.

Saturday 14th January:

We needed more meat yesterday. We continued on with the swap around and worming pups. I also got our waste away. We also changed more beds in the kennels.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT: MOHICAN ROSE AT OXFORD AND SWIFT MELLOW AT ROMFORD. ALSO, MOHICAN TARA AND WOTA SWELL PARTY QUALIFIED FOR THE FINAL OF THE DIAMOND STAKES.

TONIGHT, WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS. AT MONMORE: MUXTON LOTTIE AND RANCHES KING.  AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT BAWDY.

Sunday 15th January:

The cold weather is due to return and its a lot colder today but thankfully its dry. We have more hounds that are sold getting delivered to the UK with Ross Myles. My head lad Padgie has the day off so it will be a day for cooking, cleaning and feeding. We have a load of paperwork to do and we’re going to try and do it today. Newcastle United have another big game in the Premiership today which I’ll watch.
