Wednesday 17th November:

It’s been a busy day and we are doing the website at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Most of our supplies are here now and they are packed away and I have also been for fish to Killybegs. At the kennels we hunted pups and change the last of the beds.

Thursday 18th November:

A dry cold morning, we need a trip to the vets with hounds that are sold getting delivered to t e UK, we need the freezer to tidy up, we need to make boxes and beds for mother and pups.  We are getting the hounds checked that are schooling by John O’Reilly today as well and we also need food for pups.

Friday 19th November:

A nice day and plenty to do, we need supplies and we are doing a massive swap  around with mother and pups, pups, saplings and kennel dogs  which will take all day. We need our waste away and this will be as much as we can do today.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT: SWIFT ADDITION AT ROMFORD.

Saturday 20th November:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning. Yesterday was a busy day. We got our waste away, I went to the Cash and Carry, we finished off swapping around pups, saplings and kennel dogs and we also hunted and galloped. Newcastle United played a lot better but we need a miracle to survive the Premiership. Under the new ownership I have no doubt that if we get relegated we will come straight back.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT MONMORE: MASSIVE EGO. AT CRAYFORD: NORMANSLAND FLYER, SWIFT LOKI AND SWIFT HONEST.

Sunday 21st November:

Its a cold dry morning and Padgie is off as its his wife’s birthday. It will be a typical Sunday where we feed, cook, clean and do a bit of a tidy up. Its 27 years today since I came to Ireland. I remember it just like it was yesterday. There has been massive changes in Ireland and the greyhound industry in the last 27 years. It was 6 months later that I moved into Lughill Kennels. I had seem almost everything with greyhounds. Thankfully I have seen the highs but I’ve also seen the lows.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT NORMANSLAND FLYER AT CRAYFORD.
