WEEK STARTING MONDAY 11TH OF JULY

Monday 11th July:

Another hot day the main job of today is trialing at Shelbourne Park, reports back to us from Shelbourne Park it is not to hot and the track is well watered and very safe fair play to Derek and Dave Shelbourne Park ground staff. We needed bits and pieces as normal and we also have hounds that are sold getting delivered to the UK very early this morning and all is going well.

Tuesday 12th July:

Definitely not as hot today and we had a small bit of rain, we have updated the website and the next job is we need all our waste away. We have hounds that are sold leaving later on today with Michael Flynn, we need a load of bits and pieces plus food for pups and at the kennels we will probably hunt a few pups. On the Greyhound Star British Performance of the week we have one hound on the list this week Normanlands Flyer at Crayford.

Wednesday 13th July:

Another hot day and we need a windscreen for the 191 van as I hit the bird on the motorway last night and it’s now cracked, we will not be able to hunt or gallop as it’s to hot, we need passports for hounds that are going to the UK, we need fish but I will not be going today for it, we probably also start cutting hedges.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT HARLOW SWIFT ILLICIT, SWIFT KETTLE AND SWIFT ACQUIT

Thursday 14th July:

Not as hot today but the forecast is very good again we will not be able to hunt or gallop as is going to be to hot, we are doing a massive swap around with pups, saplings and kennel dogs from paddocks to runs and from runs to kennels. We need passports for the hounds that are sold going to the UK and we also need food for pups.

Friday 15th July:

A overcast day and no where near as warm. The sales department has been busy so thanks to everybody who bought a hound. At the kennels we are getting the grass cut in the rearing paddocks, we need all our waste away, we need maintenance work done and we have started cutting all the hedges around the place.

Saturday 16th July:

We are doing Saturday journal on Monday morning. Saturday was a busy day day as we had a brood having pups, we needed meat and the main job was keeping hounds cool, we continued on with maintenance work and cutting hedges.

Sunday 17th July:

We are doing Sunday journal on Monday morning. My right hand man Padgie had a day off and he came back today as red as a beetroot, we are continued on with maintenance work and keeping hounds cool with plenty of water was a main job of the day. We tidy the garages up a gave a yard a sweep.
