WEEK STARTING 2ND DECEMBER:

Monday 2nd December

It was a very cold start to the day with a heavy frost but by lunch time the frost had gone, We got all the dogs that are schooling checked out by the Vet. Took all our waste to the landfill, washed the vans, gave the garage a tidy up, went to the Vets to get all the supplies We need and collected supplies plus everyday jobs.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM WOKEEN AND HAGGSWOOD RIVER.

Tuesday 3rd December

We are doing the last five days journal plus today journal this morning as we had a very busy time but all gone well. It was 25 years ago since I came to Ireland last weekend and I remember it like yesterday and I’m now definitely here to stay in Monasterevin. I’m now 62 years of age and enjoying doing the dogs as much as ever, I had a operation four weeks ago and today as I do the journal I feel really good again as  I had small health problems over the last few years thankfully they are all behind me now.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT SHEFFIELD SWIFT ASPEN AND CONEY SABELLA.

Wednesday 4th December

A cold morning but no frost the main job of the day is preparing hounds for schooling We have supplies to collect and we have beds to change in kennels. I have to take the old van to garage to get some work done on it. Swift Linscott had her pups and mother and pups doing very well with plenty of heating on, we have a lot of paper work to do but we will do that at the weekend. I also have pasta coming from the UK hopefully it not here today as there is 400 bags and it will take half a day to pack it away.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SHEFFIELD CONEY SABELLA TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT HARLOW POINTLESS PRAISE.

Thursday 5th December:

A cold morning but no frost. The main job of the day is schooling at newbridge, we are going to level the sand runs out in the garden paddocks and change the beds in the houses, all going well we will do a small swap around with pups and saplings. Newcastle united play sheffield united at sheffield, the bottom of the premiership has tightened right up i would be happy with a point and a win would take us in to the top half of the table. Its on the tv in ireland so il be watching that. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT HARLOW POINTLESS PRAISE. TONIGHT WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS, AT HOVE BRITANNIA WILL, SWIFT SABBATH AND DRAHBEG DASH. AT NEWCASTLE OLD BUCK, MORPETH LAD AND SWIFT GUARD.

Friday 6th December:

No frost but rain is forecast. We are going to give all dogs in the kennels a bone, do there nails and worm them. We will continue on levelling the sand out in the garden paddocks and changing the beds in there huts in the paddocks. We need our waste away, veg and straw. A massive win for Newcastle united last night taking us up to 11th in the premiership, we have Southampton on sunday at home and if we can beat them were flying. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT HOVE SWIFT SABBATH. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD SWIFT TARQUIN.

 

Saturday 7th December:

Its been a hectic morning so far collecting supplies, tidying up, getting rid of our waste, preparing dogs for schooling, swapping pups and saplings around. We had the plumber here all morning fixing everything and just as he was leaving at 12pm the heating went off in my house. Luckily Padgie saw the problem as the boiler was going on fire. We cant get a replacement boiler until Monday so I will either have to move in with Miroush across the road or put an extra coat on.

SUNDAY 8TH DECEMBER

Its a cold dry morning The main jobs of the day are galloping hounds getting dogs checked that are schooling plus cooking, feed, cleaning kennels and letting dog that are in kennels out in to there paddocks. Big game for Newcastle today.
