WEEK STARTING 22ND OF MARCH

Monday 22nd March:

Another dry day and it’s being busy day so far. Both vans has been collecting supplies and we also had two or three deliveries. As I do a journal at 1.30 I’m waiting for my trials in Shelbourne Park and the next job will be to update the dog for sale page of Swift Hamster trial.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK LAST NIGHT WE HAD ONE WINNER AT SWINDON SWIFT SUNSET.

Tuesday 23rd March:

A dry morning and plenty to do and the first job my head lad Padgie is away to dentist and he is about as brave as small mouse. We needed all our waste away and we need supplies, the vat took to the accountant a trip to the Cash and Carry also TRI and Portarlington tyres. We are making boxes and beds for mother and pups and if we have all this done today it’s a good day.

WEDNESDAY 24TH MARCH

We are doing Wednesdays journal on Thursday morning as it was a busy day. We did a massive swap around with pups, saplings and kennel dogs. We made boxes and beds for mother and pups, we change beds, level the garden paddocks and collected a load of bits and pieces from a hardware, pet supplies, carpet shops.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT NEWCASTLE MORPETH LAST NIGHT.

Thursday 25th March:

A dry morning but a bit cooler and the forecast is not good. We will hunt a few pups and continue on levelling the garden paddocks. We will make more boxes and beds and as normal there is supplies to collect and probably a trip to the dump.

Friday 26th March:

We had rain over night but at 8am as we do the journal it’s a nice morning. We need supplies as normal, all our waste away the last of the boxes and beds to make for mother and pups. We will hunt pups and probably gallop a few hounds.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD RAILS MCCOY TONIGHT.

Saturday 27th March:

Its another dry day but colder. There was a slight frost when we started at 6am. The plans today is to add our May 2020 saplings to the dogs for sale page and probably add a few June saplings as well. We will hunt and gallop and get hounds checked that are schooling. I will probably go to the Cash and Carry as I planned to go every day this week so far. Its a big week for birthdays and I wish Rolly Dickenson who is a lifelong friend of mine a happy 65th birthday. Best of luck Rolly. Next Saturday is my birthday. For anybody who enjoys reading the journal I will do an extra piece about the past 27 years I have been in Ireland at Lughill Kennels next Saturday.

Sunday 28th March:

Its been a hectic day and were doing the journal at 4pm in the afternoon. We have had rain on and off and we got a delivery from the UK this morning which had to be packed away. It was a typical Sunday where we cooked, cleaned, let hounds out of kennels and fed. The day went well and problem free.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT AT SWINDON. SHESELLSSEASHELLS, PIPAPIPAPOPS AND SWIFT SUNSET.
