Monday 19th august:

A nice and dry start to the morning and today is going to be a busy one. Along with the everyday jobs of cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting dogs out that are kennelled up we have the gallop to tidy before we will gallop a few hounds which will be the main job of the day. We have a supplies to collect which will also have to be packed away. If we get this much done it will be a successful day.

Tuesday 20th august:

I am doing Tuesday’s journal on Wednesday morning as yesterday was a day where I spent the whole day running around in circles. I went to Portlaoise five times and when I got up at 5;30 am my plan was to go for fish which I never got. At the kennels padgie worked away galloping hounds with the boys and we continued on this never ending job of cutting hedges. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE FIVE RUNNERS AT SHEFFIELD CONEY CULICAN, CONEY CASSIUS, CONEY BOOM BOOM, CONEY SABELLA AND CONEY KUCCINI.

Wednesday 21st august:

Its been a long night as we had a brood had pups all went well and mother and pups doing fantastic. My plans today are to go for fish, at the kennels we will continue on hedge cutting and we are going to do a swap around with hounds and pups. We have swift eva on a new course of tablets and she seems to be going a lot better. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE WINNERS AT SHEFFIELD CONEY CULICAN, CONEY BOOM BOOM AND CONEY KUCCINI. TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT HARLOW SWIFT ZANETA AND POINTLESS PRAISE.

Thursday 22nd august:

Its an overcast and dull start to the morning and looks like rain could be heading our way. The main job of the day today is trialling at Newbridge where we are taking 30 hounds. At the kennels the hedge cutting and the levelling out of the garden runs got finished yesterday so there is a massive tidy up to do. Other than the normal jobs of cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting dogs in and out that are kennelled up this will be as much as we can do today. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT HOVE BRITANNIA WILL AND SWIFT GALAXY.

Friday 23rd august:

A nice sunny start to the morning and hopefully we don’t get rain. The plans today are more paddocks to level out, we have waste from the hedge cutting to go away, straw to bag and a tidy up all around the place. The garage needs to be tidied also. At the kennels we will be changing all beds, continue the swap around of mothers, puppys and saplings. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS AT ROMFORD SWIFT SABBATH, SWIFT BULLET, SWIFT TARQUIN AND SWIFT DANIELLE. IN IRELAND WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT SHELBOURNE PARK SWIFT SHAMROCK.

Saturday 24th august:

An overcast morning but I don’t think we will get rain. We have all our waste to go away, loads of supplies to collect and we will try gallop a few hounds. Once we get the journal done I have straw to collect and whatever happens at 3 oclock il be watching the soccer, there is only three teams in the premier league without a point and Newcastle united is one of them. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD SWIFT DANIELLE. TONIGHT WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS AT CRAYFORD SWIFT RAELYNN, SWIFT LIBBY, SWIFT CASEY, SWIFT NADIA AND JILLYPOPS.

Sunday 25th august:

An overcast day and loads to do. I am going to get caught up with the paperwork, we are changing all beds and we are going to continue on with the never ending job of hedge cutting, we will also gallop a few hounds and all going well we will take the photos of the may 2018 saplings and add them to greyhound data. Newcastle united want a miracle today against spurs, if we get a point I will be the happiest man in monasterevin. A big day for charity in monasterevin as there is a charity walk along the banks of the canal to robertstown, it has got to be thirty mile and there several watering holes(pubs) so I cant see them all making it and im definitely the wrong shape to be taking part. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS. AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT LOKI AND SWIFT BISCUIT. AT HENLOW SWIFT BLACKMAIL AND LEEDON BACARDI.
