WEEK STARTING MONDAY 2ND OF OCTOBER

MONDAY 2ND OF OCTOBER

The weathers has been good, and it was an early start as I had to go to get meat at 5am as the plans where to leave at 11.30am to go to Shelbourne Park but the trails were cancelled just as we were about to leave as the hare broke down. We were all fed up like all Monday now and the kennels where all done as well so in the afternoon we did a load of Maintenance work.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAD TWO WINNERS YESTERDAY AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT TEETOTALER WON THE JENNINGSBET FINAL AND AT TOWCESTER MERLINS MATE. TONIGHT, AT NOTTINGHAM WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS DUBAI KID AND SUPA NOVA.

TUESDAY 3RD OCTOBER

It was a dry day and the weather was good all day, we had paper bedding arrive from the  UK so the artic lorry had to be emptied and the bedding had to be packed away. We also had hounds leave for the UK  that were sold in the afternoon I did the weekly run to the vets. Padgie my head lad wormed pups which will take all week to finish.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT SHEFFIELD SWIFT ICONIC.

WEDNESDAY 4TH OCTOBER

The first job of today was to get all the waste away to the dump, Padgie continued doing the worming and swapping around hounds, pups and saplings from rearing yards to rearing paddocks and from the paddocks to kennels. Tonight Newcastle are in the champions league at St James  park I will watch the game on the tv.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT SHEFFIELD LAST NIGHT SWIFT ICONIC. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT HARLOW SWIFT UNO.

Thursday 5th October:

I day tripped to England on Thursday for more cereal. The day went well. At the kennels Padgie continued on worming and swapping hounds around. We did maintenance work. I couldn’t believe how well Newcastle played in the Champions League. We simply destroyed PSG.

Friday 6th October:

Friday was another hectic day as I had to go for fish. We got the last of the worming done, injecting pups with first and second injections, we changed beds and got all caught up.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: WRIGHTY. AT NOTTINGHAM: AUSSIE MCCOY.

Saturday 7th October:

On Saturday we needed meat, all our waste away and food for pups. At the kennels we hunted hounds, did more bed changing, got a delivery of Red Mills which had to be packed away. The day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT PERRY BARR: SWIFT POLOMA. AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT SAPID, SWIFT ALIEN AND SWIFT DAISY.

Sunday 8th October:

It’s a lovely morning as we do the journal at 7am. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, let hounds out of kennels and feed. We will also do paperwork, do all the lists, tidy the website and prepare for a busy week. I have Michael Thompson coming to stay for a few days which I’m looking forward to. I’ll have to get somebody do tidy the house. Coney Peninsula had 15 pups to Kind Elvis. She’s okay but it had taken its toll on her. Thankfully she’s drinking and eating. We will keep a close eye on her for the next few days.
