MONDAY 31ST OF JULY

A overcast morning as we do the journal at 7am. The main job today is schooling at Shelbourne park, we need food for pups from the supermarket the vans wash plus a tidy up and a trip to the vets for supplies.

TUESDAY 1ST OF AUGUST

A busy day we had a delivery of paper bedding from the UK so that had to been packed away. Ross Myles collected hounds that are sold going to there new owners in the UK  plus changed all the beds in the kennels and tidy all the garages up. Been to floods in Newbridge for cod liver oil and cider vinegar and the last job was parts for the strimmer and hedge cutter collect.

WEDNESDAY 2ND OF AUGUST

We are doing Wednesday journal on Thursday evening, it rained all day on Wednesday which stopped all the outside work, we needed meat and we were making boxes and beds for mother and pups. We had to meet Michael Flynn with hounds that are sold and going to the UK, we had delivery of Kasko dog food arrived and the day went well.

THURSDAY 3RD OF AUGUST

A nice dry day and it’s been a busy one, I have been in Killybegs collecting fish, we needed all our waste away, we continued making boxes and beds for mother and pups and we did a swap around with hounds, pups and saplings.

Friday 4th August:

Were doing Fridays journal in Sunday morning. We needed meat so it had to be collected and packed away. Its was another day of non-stop rain. We got a delivery of dog food off Red Mills. The first job on Friday was to pack the fish away that had been collected at Killybegs. We did a general tidy up. The day went well. We also had hounds leave for the Northern England with Ross Myles.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: SWIFT NEWS, SUPA NOVA AND SWIFT QUAFF.  AT OXFORD: TRAPSTYLE LOUIS, SWIFT TANIA AND SWIFT TAMANNA.

Saturday 5th August:

Saturday was a dry day. It’s a full time job monitoring young pups at the minute. We tidied the garages and we did a bit of strimming to get rid of weeds. We changed beds in the kennels. Our next brood is due to have pups so she has to be watched 24/7. Newcastle United won the Sela Cup so roll on the Premiership next Saturday. I still think we could do with another couple of signings. Hopefully they will get them in this week. Two pups to watch out for: Swift Daisy who started A10 at Romford and last night she won and A1 at Crayford in fastest time of the week (23.25). Swift Rally who is a January 2022 won in Romford yesterday in 24.10 normal going faster than the A1 which was fastest time of the two meetings at Romford yesterday.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT JOCK, SWIFT DONALD, SWIFT QUINCEY AND SWIFT DELILAH. AT YARMOUTH: SWIFT ICONIC. 

Sunday 6th August:

Its a nice day and its going to be a busy one. We will tidy the website, do the paperwork and with it being nice and dry we’re going to prepare dogs for schooling. If everything goes well we will wash and tidy the vans and prepare for a busy week.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD FOUR WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT JOCK, SWIFT DONALD AND SWIFT QUINCEY. AT YARMOUTH: SWIFT ICONIC. TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS. AT CENTRAL PARK: SWIFT TEETOTALLER AND SWIFT QUESTA.
