WEEK STARTING MONDAY 19TH OF DECEMBER

Monday 19th December:

It’s been a long day as we do the journal at 8pm as I started at 5am this morning  before we went to Shelbourne Park there was meat to collect. At the kennels we had to have all hounds fed before 11 o’clock the weather was good and mild it took forever to get to Shelbourne today with the Christmas traffic and also to get back home, we had a load of dogs that went well in trials so makes all worth it.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNERS TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT QUANTUN AND CHURCHILL HOLLY

TUESDAY 20TH DECEMBER

Its a mild day but it look like rain, the plan today we have fish to go for in Killybegs. maintenance work to do as well and hunt pups.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT ICONIC IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE ALL ENGLAND CUP.

WEDNESDAY 21ST DECEMBER

First the good news swift iconic is in the final of the all England cup and Newcastle united are in the last 8 of the E.F.L cup. The plans to day is all the wasted to the dump, we need red mills as our order is not here till Friday,. The fish has to be packed away and at the kennels more maintenance work to do.

THURSDAY 22ND DECEMBER

A wet morning but it has to dry up in the afternoon. The plans for today are we have John O’Relly coming to check all the hounds that are schooling. we are going to wash the van in side and out, get the last of the supplies we need and we also have Kasco dog food coming plus hunt pups and change beds in the garden paddocks

FRIDAY 23TH DECEMBER

Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning. We needed meat, we changed every bed in the place in preparation for Christmas and we got the last of our waste away as the dump is closed until next Wednesday. We washed the vans again and the day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE 8 RUNNERS TONIGHT AT OXFORD WOTA SWELL PARTY IN THE FINAL OF THE CHALLENGE CUP ALSO AT OXFORD MUXTON LOTTIE AND SWIFT TANIA . AT ROMFORD SLIDER MCCOY ,MASSIVE EGO, MONROES KISS, MISS BIG PAHTS AND SWIFT MELLOW.

Saturday 24th December:

Our Red Mills order finally came at 7am so we packed that away. We tidied the freezer. The job today is to feed everything and prepare for tomorrow. We’ll get the last bits and pieces of supplies.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT CRAYFORD THIS MORNING  BAWDY.

Christmas Day:

We wish and all customers and everybody in the greyhound industry a very merry Christmas from myself and all the staff at Lughill Kennels. We will start at 6am as normal and we will have everything fed and cleaned by 11am. We’ll go for our Christmas dinner and come back around 3 or 4pm to let all of the hounds out of the kennels. Hopefully it’ll stay dry and all goes according to plan.
