MONDAY 26TH OF DECEMBER
Yesterday Christmas day when well and the day when to plan. Today we started at the kennels at 6am as normal its a dry day but cold and no rain all hounds will be fed by 10am and the kennels all done by a 11 am. we will let the hound out of the kennel 2pm and 6pm tonight fed the pups again. I will watch the football today a big day for Newcastle 3 more point I hope. IN THE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP AT YARMOUTH WE HAVE SUPA NOVA IN THE FINAL.
TUESDAY 27TH OF DECEMBER
The last day of the Christmas holidays so we did the same as the last two days work wise. The work went well and the weather was dry.
On Monday at Yarmouth Supa nova won track championship
On this week greyhound star performance of the week we have one hound on the list Supa nova at Yarmouth.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT NEWCASTLE IN THE FINAL OF ALL ENGLAND CUP SWIFT ICONIC ALL SO AT NEWCASTLE BRAMBLE PEPPA.
WEDNESDAY 28TH OF DECEMBER
The work is back to normal today we started at 6am finished at 3pm and we came back tonight to let hounds out that are in kennels plus feed pups. We had meat to collect today and beds to change in kennels, puppy sheds and rearing houses. The weather was bad all day with heavy rain.
THURSDAY 29TH DECEMBER
A nice morning for December and no rain. The plans today are to get all the wasted to the dump, we have visitors coming to look at hounds for sale and we will also hunt pups.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT AT MONMORE LILLIBETH ROYALE, HITTHELIDS MYLO AND RANCHES ROGUE.
FRIDAY 30TH DECEMBER
Were doing Fridays journal on Saturday morning. The weather was good. I had to go to the vets to get passports. At the kennels it was a day for maintenance work which we are just about on top of. We changed beds , did a swap around with hounds and pups. The day went well.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT AT ROMFORD SWIFT QUAFF, MUXTON LOTTIE, MISS BIG PANTS, SWIFT MELLOW, MONROES KISS AND SLIDER MCCOY.
Saturday 31st December:
Its a nice day for December. We have a brood going to Droopys Stud for mating. At the kennels it will be a day for preparing for New Years day and the bank holiday Monday. We’ll tidy up, take photos of hounds, probably wash the vans and I will collect the bits and pieces that are needed.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT MELLOW.
Sunday 1st January:
We wish customers new and old and everyone in the greyhound industry a happy, healthy and lucky new year. The plans at the kennels on New Years Day will be the same as Christmas Day where we start at 6am, get all hounds and pups fed by 11am, clean the kennels. We will then come back at 3pm to let hounds out of kennels and come back later on in the evening to let hounds out of kennels for the last time. The sales department is open everyday over the holidays. I’m available as normal.
