WEEK STARTING THE 3RD OF JUNE

MONDAY THE 3RD OF JUNE

Monday was a bank holiday in southern Ireland I had paper bedding to collect as we ran out of it , the weather was good , we did a tidy up around the yard , we had to broods due to pup so they had to be watched and we also tidied the vans up. On the greyhound star British performance of the week we had two hounds on this weeks list swift unkind at Yarmouth and swift prank at Perry Barr. A pup to watch out for who trailed at Yarmouth on Saturday night having his first 4 bend trail Tiffield Tarquin name before changed swift Triumph  did 28.26.

TUESDAY THE 4TH OF JUNE

A busy day as the main job of the day was trailing in Shelbourne park , we got all the waste away early , the traffic was good going to Dublin and coming back , we got the website updated and we need the vans serviced which is getting done tonight plus there was two broods had their pups a litter of six and a litter of ten mother and pups doing fantastic

WEDNESDAY THE 5TH OF JUNE

The weather was good again on Wednesday. I got the parts for the 191 van and we got it fix. I had two broods to drop off at Cuddy’s stud. At the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling and changed more beds plus we got a delivery of bagged dog food

THURSDAY THE 6TH OF JUNE

On Thursday I had to go to Northern Ireland to collect meat from a factory which took best part of the day. At the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling which took all day.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT JOSH.

FRIDAY THE 7TH OF JUNE

We tidied up all our small gardens got all the waste away. I had two hounds to deliver to Mullingar. We did a swap around with pups into the big concrete yard and from the big concrete yard into the rearing paddocks and from the rearing paddocks into kennels.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT ROMFORD FAB ROY, SWIFT INDIGO AND SWIFT RADIANTLY.

SATURDAY THE 8TH OF JUNE 

I was on the road today at 5 in the morning collecting more meat, the morning has been took up doing the last of the preparation work with hounds ready for schooling next week. We got more tidy up to do and whatever happens we will take the photographs of our February and March 2023 saplings and add them to greyhound data.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS AT MONMORE TRUBBYS SWIFT, AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT PRESTON AND SWIFT TEETOTALER, AT PERRY BARR SWIFT MAXWELL, AT DONCASTER BLUEY BOY AND AT TOWCESTER WRIGHTY.

SUNDAY THE 9TH OF JUNE

Its a nice day and a typical Sunday where we do the paperwork, tidy the website and make all lists for the coming week. We have broods in season so we will have to check matings on greyhound data and decide who they will go to. We have a load of stuff to order online. We will probably give the vans a wash and load all the waste paper in ready to go to the dump.

 

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT PERRY BARR SWIFT MAXWELL. TONIGHT WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS AT CRAYFORD SWIFT QUINCEY AND DUBAI KID, AT THE VALLEY SWIFT WOOZY AND AT TOWCESTER SWIFT DEPOT AND YOU TWO.
