MONDAY THE 5TH OF FEBRUARY
Monday was a bank holiday but it is a normal day at the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling and we also got a delivery of paper bedding and we did a massive tidy up in the yard on this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we had one hound on this weeks list swift Ian at Yarmouth
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER YESTERDAY AT TOWCESTER MERLINS MATE
TUESDAY THE 6TH OF FEBRUARY
The main job of the day was trailing at Shelbourne park so we had to be fed up for 12 o’clock the traffic was good going to Dublin and coming home. We got all the waste away and we collected all the bits and pieces we needed for maintenance work
WEDNESDAY THE 7TH OF FEBRUARY
A very busy day we have been worming pups cutting their nails changing beds in all the kennels and the rearing houses. We also needed meat and there was a hound that was sold and had to be delivered to Cashel
Thursday 8th February:
We had an early start on Thursday as I had to bring a friend back to the airport. I went to the cash and carry, collected sawdust, food for pups. At the kennels we were worming hounds, cutting nails and changing beds.
Friday 9th February:
The whole day was spent preparing hounds for schooling which took all day. We got a delivery of paper bedding. It was a mixed day weathewise and it has been 9 years today since I lost my mother. I don’t know where the last 9 years have gone to.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: SWIFT INDIGO, SWIFT IAN, SWIFT TEETOTALLER, SUPA NOVA AND SWIFT ICONIC. AT NOTTINGHAM: SWIFT BACKUP AND SWIFT VACCINE.
Saturday 10th February:
We needed meat, John O’Reilly was here checking hounds, we had to take the 2019 van to the mechanic to get a small bit of work done. We continued on worming, cutting nails and changing beds in the rearing houses.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT SUPA NOVA AT ROMFORD AND SWIFT VACCINE AT NOTTINGHAM. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS. AT CENTRAL PARK SWIFT YASMIN. AT DONCASTER INCA GERRY. AT CRAYFORD SWIFT MELLOW. AT MONMORE SWIFT REASSURE.
Sunday 11th February:
It was a big win last night for Newcastle United. Its going to be a typical Sunday where we tidy the website, do paperwork. The weather is good. Padgie has the day off. We will do a small tidy up around the place.
