MONDAY THE 23RD OF JUNE
Things are back to normal at Lughill kennels. We have done a massive tidy up around the yard plus all out door areas and our small gardens . We have a bit of maintenance work to do this week and the main job today is giving all our hounds bravecto tablet and worming them as well. We will change the beds in all kennels and rearing houses. We have a load of supplies to order . The sales department has been busy big thanks to everybody that bought a hound. We have broods in season so they will have to be mated. We need a trip to the vets and we have John O’Reily coming one day this week to check hounds that are schooling.
TUESDAY THE 24TH OF JUNE
A showery day so we have to tidy up all the garages , give my house a proper tidy . We had John O’Reily here checking hounds that are schooling. We are continuing on with worming hounds and giving them a bravecto as well. We had passport work to be done for the hounds that are sold leaving for the UK and we also had a delivery of factory meat and factory tripe so that all had to be packed away.
WEDNESDAY THE 25TH OF JUNE
AS WE GET THE OPEN RACE RUNNERS WE WILL ADD THEM TO THE WEEKLY JOURNAL
An overcast day but no rain. we continued on worming hounds and giving them a bravecto. We got the beds in the kennel changed. We got all the waste to the dump. We had two hounds at the vets getting there tonsils out. We took a trip to the cash and carry as well. A delivery from Kasco arrived along with our sawdust and i also have been to collect cereal and paper bedding as we haven’t got a bag in the place.
THURSDAY THE 26TH OF JUNE
An overcast day but dry up to lunchtime as we do the journal. The first job today was looking for an alternator for the 202 van but I can’t get one till Friday morning. I have been to cuddy’s stud to collect broods that have been mated. We had to be fed up early for the main job of the day trialing in Kilkenny. Our first lot of hounds that are sold have now been delivered to the UK and Darragh is on the boat coming home

FRIDAY THE 27TH OF JUNE
The first job on Friday was to collect meat which is gone very short in Southern Ireland. We had the vet here doing paperwork for hounds that are sold going to the UK. We got the last of the hounds wormed and a prevecto tablet to kill fleas and tics. We also got the beds changed in the garden paddock.
SATURDAY THE 28TH OF JUNE
Padraig Casey came to cut the grass in our rearing paddocks. His cutter broke down after three paddocks. We needed food for pups and disinfectant from Dealz. We got an alternator put on the 202 van and we did a bit of tidying up and maintenance work.

SUNDAY THE 29TH OF JUNE
Its going to be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up with paperwork. Congratulations to Swift Home, who has won The Nottingham Owners Night Third Trophy, in a time of 30.21. Trained by Terry Munslow, owned by Mr J R Harrison.
