WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 19TH OF FEBRUARY

MONDAY THE 19TH OF FEBRUARY

The weather has been good today and the traffic was also very good in Dublin today the first job today was getting rid of all our waste. I had to post all the paper work off we needed  service kit for the vans from ford we had to be fed up by lunchtime for the main job of today trailing in Shelbourne park.

Tuesday 20th February:

We needed meat which was the first job of the day. The weather was good on Tuesday so we did more preparation work with hounds to get them ready for schooling. We got the 2020 van serviced. A delivery of Gain dog food arrived. The day went well.

Wednesday 21st February:

We got a delivery of paper, Red Mills dog food, we did a tidy up around the yard and we had two hounds to take to the vets to get tonsils out. The day went well.

Thursday 22nd February:

I went to Killybegs to collect fish which is very short owing to the new quotas. At the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling. On the way back from Killybegs I had to pick up a timing belt kit. Again the day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT SWINDON MOHICAN SALTY.

Friday 23rd February:

On Friday we continued on with the major tidy up around the place. We also did a major swap around with hounds as eight hounds that were sold left for the UK to their new owners. I had a hound to deliver in Ireland. The day went well.

Saturday 24th February:

Newcastle United were terrible last night against Arsenal. We were never in the game. I went for beef in the morning, collected food for pups, got the timing belt changed on the 2020 van and somebody must be watching over me as the mechanic said the belt wouldn’t have lasted another hour as it was hanging by a thread. At the kennels we changed all the beds, we gave the hedges a small cut, did work on the gallop. The day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD SWIFT TEETOTALLER & SWIFT INDIGO. TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT QUINCEY, SWIFT BACKUP AND RANCHES ROGUE.

Sunday 25th February:

A typical Sunday where we do the paperwork, tidy the website and prepare for a busy week. We will probably give the vans a wash, add more dogs to the dogs for sale page and if the day goes well we will take photos and add them to greyhound data.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT VALLEY: RANCHES BANDIT AND DUBAI KID. AT TOWCESTER: WRIGHTY.
