WEEK STARTING MONDAY 4TH OF APRIL

Monday 4th April:

We are doing the journal at 5 o’clock in the evening as it was a busy day. We needed supplies, we got a couple of deliveries of supplies at the kennels as well, we tidy the garages up got fed up early got paper work to Ross Myles for hounds that are sold going to the UK and the main job of today was trilling at Shelbourne Park. On the Greyhound Star British Performance of the week for last week we have one hound on the list Sandwood Buster.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT NOTTINGHAM TONIGHT CHURCHILL HOLLY AND ZOOM ANGEL

Tuesday 5th April:

We are doing Tuesdays journal on Wednesday morning as I had to go to Cashel three times to the vet, thankfully everything is ok with the hounds that were there and all the plans we had for hunting and galloping were cancelled.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY WINNING THE LADY STANDARD TROPHY FINAL AND ONE RUNNER AT SHEFFIELD POTENT TOUCH

Wednesday 6th April:

We need all our waste away, food for pups and supplies. It was a good night on the racing front along with Potent Touch winning his open in 28.69 at Sheffield, Swift Iconic a October 2020 pup win his second race at Towcester both D1 with open race hounds behind him. Swift Abide winning a A2 at Newcastle coming from last to first and he is definitely going to be special over six bends when old enough, his sister Swift Adieu came from out the clouds to win her race, both races could be seen on Raymond Hale Facebook page. Aussie Mccoy did 29.96 first look Towcester after winning both his races at Suffolk Downs and A1 and the A2. Supa Nova did 29.76 in his last qualifying trial at Towcester.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SHEFFIELD POTENT TOUCH

Thursday 7th April:

We had heavy winds over night but thankfully we had no damage, as we do the journal at 9am we had load of deliveries from Gain, O’Naills, chicken. We have hounds going to UK that are sold with Ross Myles and we have broods to go to the Dunphy’s and we have several hounds trialing yesterday Swift Lookalike 15.59 at Monmore at Newcastle Swift Incredible first 525 in his life 29.50 also at Newcastle Swift Howe first time in the traps in his life 17.74

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT PERRY BARR SWIFT COPE

Friday 8th April:

Frosty morning but as we do a journal at 8.30 in the morning the sun is out and the frost will soon be away. The main job today is galloping, collecting supplies and putting the photos on the Greyhound Data of the 2020 saplings.

Saturday 9th April:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as I never got a chance yesterday. We got up to heavy frost. We got the last few photos of our 2021 saplings. We collected food for pups and when the frost cleared we hunted and galloped. Newcastle United got a massive win on Friday night. Were now in touching distance of safety with 7 games to go.

Sunday 10th April:

Its overcast and it will be a typical Sunday where we clean, cook, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We’ll do paperwork and tidy the website up.
