WEEK STARTING MONDAY 3RD OF JANUARY

Monday 3rd January:

A dry cold morning and a busy day, we have to go to the Dunphy Stud to collect three broods that have been mated, we need supplies a big tidy up of the yard and we will start a swap around with pups saplings and kennel dogs and we also need to make boxes and beds for mothers to have their pups in.

Tuesday 4th January:

It was a cold frosty morning but a dry day. We needed all our waste away a load of supplies all the paper work got posted away and the main job of the day was trialing at Shelbourne Park.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT SHEFFIED SWIFT CHASTITY.

Wednesday 5th January:

We are doing Wednesdays journal on Wednesday morning as yesterday was a busy day. We needed trip to the vet for passports for dogs that are sold and going to the UK, our order came from Red Mills. It was was a very cold and frosty day but dry, we had a brood have pups to Droopys Sydney it was a big litter and all went well mother and pups doing fantastic.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT HARLOW GREENEND NANCY.

Thursday 6th January:

A wet day and it looks like rain to stay for a whole day. We need a load of supplies a trip to the hardware and today will be a day just for feeding up, cleaning kennels and letting dogs in and out.

Friday 7th January:

It’s very wet and very cold so at the kennels it will be a day for feeding, cleaning kennels and keeping hounds warm. We need a load of supplies which we will collect today and we also have sawdust in paper coming so that will have to be packed away.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT ROMFORD RAIL MCCOY SWIFT COPE AND SWIFT RAISIN.

Saturday 8th January:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as Saturday was a day filled with problems. Both vans broke down but thankfully I have the 191 van back and I should have the 151 van back on Monday or Tuesday morning. I was having problems with my hernia and Newcastle United got knocked out of the FA Cup. The weather was terrible in the morning it was a nice afternoon.

Sunday 9th January:

Its a dry morning and the forecast is good. We have a load of dogs to name and put on to the website today. We have a load of paperwork to do. At the kennels it will be a typical Sunday where we feed, clean, cook and let dogs out of kennels. Pups that have won this week and who are heading for the open race circuit: Swift Unknown who won at Newcastle yesterday, Lie Forrit Robbo who won at Perrybarr on Thursday, several members of the Swift Paradox litter are looking promising and Tiffield Trojan is also heading for the open race scene.
