WEEK STARTING MONDAY 2ND OF AUGUST

Monday 2nd August:

We are doing Mondays journal on Tuesday afternoon. Yesterday was a bank holiday in Southern Ireland and it was just like a Sunday at the kennels were we cooked, clean, fed, let hounds out that are in kennels. We didn’t gat rain till late in the day and the day went well, we wormed pups and did a little bit of paper work. On the British Performance of the week in the Greyhound Star we have three hounds on it from last week Rails Mccoy at Henlow, Swift Woof at Sheffield, Drahbeg Dash at Perry Barr.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER CHURCHILL HOLLY AT NOTTINGHAM.

Tuesday 3rd August:

It has been a busy day as we needed supplies and loads of stuff to order. We need food for pups and I need to go to Red Mills next as we need racer.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT CHIRCILL HOLLY.

Wednesday 4th August:

A nice day and I don’t think we will get rain. As we do the journal at 12 o’clock we are all ready to leave for trials and handslips in Shelbourne Park, we also got our waste away today and we have ordered everything we need. We will update the dog for sale page, trials and handslips from Shelbourne Park today around 5 o’clock.

Thursday 5th August:

We are getting heavy rain today and it’s looks like it is here for the whole day. It’s been a long night as Swift Palmer had her pups mother and pups doing fantastic. We need supplies and owing to the rain there will be no hunting or galloping.

Friday 6th August:

Another wet day and a busy day, we have Red Mills coming and Gain dog food so that will have to be packed away as normal we need supplies. If the rain stops we will try galloping a few hounds and preparing dogs for schooling and also getting hounds ready to go in the traps at Shelbourne Park a week come Monday.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT ROMFORD RAILS MCCOY AND DEADLINE DAY.

Saturday 7th August:

Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as yesterday was a hectic day. It rained all day and our plans to gallop and do preparation work with hounds to get them ready for schooling was cancelled. We needed supplies, we wormed pups, cut nails and gave them their injections.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO RUNNERS: POTENT TOUCH AT MONMORE AND SWIFT WOLF AT SHEFFIELD.

Sunday 8th August:

The rain continues and it was very heavy overnight. We have a mountain of paperwork to do today which we will definitely get done. If we get a break in the rain we might gallop a few. We also need to tidy the vans. Swift Palmer and her new pups are doing fantastic. I’ll also make plans for a very busy week ahead.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT: SWIFT COPE AT TOWCESTER AND SWIFT SUNSET AT SWINDON.
