WEEK STARTING MONDAY 26TH OF APRIL

Monday 26th April:

Another frosty start to the day but it is going to be a lovely day. The main job of the day is trialling in Shelbourne Park, we need our waste away, we also need food for pups a bit of maintenance work plus the everyday jobs. A good weekend for Newcastle United as their are just about save one more win and we are there. We have a lot of paper work to do but I will probably leave it for the weekend.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT CENTRAL PARK NORMANSLAND FLYER.

Tuesday 27th April:

A busy day, I had to meet Ross Myles as he is taking sold hounds to the UK. We have updated the dog for sale page, we need supplies and we are doing a massive swap around with mother and pups, saplings and kennel dogs. We have small pups to worm, beds to change so a very busy day.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT TOWCESTER SWIFT LETTUCE.

Wednesday 28th April:

Another nice dry day and we are finishing all the work from yesterday that we didn’t get done, last of the worming of pups the last of the swapping around the hounds and the next job is to go to the supermarket for food for pups as we didn’t get this done yesterday. Our order from Red Mills is arriving at 11 o’clock so we have to packed that away and we will probably hunt few pups today. Ross Myles had all the hounds delivered to UK by 8 am.

Thursday 29th April:

Another lovely morning and plenty to do. Supplies have arrived from UK so we are packing them away. We are galloping, we need a heap of stuff from the vets, there is paper work to tidy up and we have changed a few beds as well.

Friday 30th April:

Another nice day and we got heavy rain yesterday which will do the rearing paddocks and gallop the world of good. As normal we need supplies and at the kennels we will do a massive tidy, prepare more hounds for schooling by we get fed up kennels cleaned cooked and the other everyday jobs will as much as we can do.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD SWIFT COPE.

Saturday 1st May:

Were doing the journal at 3pm as its been a very busy day but all has gone well. We’ll start with all the good news, I get my covid injection this Tuesday morning at 10 am. I was certain I would have gotten covid-19 and Tuesday cant come fast enough. If Fulham get beaten today and Newcastle win tomorrow we will only need a point to be safe. I thought Swift Cope ran the race of his life last night to make it to the final of the Laurels at Romford. I left the house at 5am this morning to get chicken in Northern Ireland. We got all our waste away and collected lots of other supplies today. We cleaned one of the vans and we also finished the big tidy up. We galloped and hunted so the whole day couldnt have gone any better. To finish off on a personal note my favourite watering hole the Bell Yard opens on 7th June and Davy Maher called out last night to ask if he should keep my stool with a reserved sign on. I told him to free it up as I havent had a drink for 14 month and dont fancy one. I have no doubt there will be plenty of takers for it.

Sunday 2nd May:
Its another dry day and at 6am it was very cold again. It will be a typical Sunday where we feed, cook, clean, change a few beds and let dogs out of kennels. We might do a bit of a swap around with hounds and I will be watching Newcastle United this afternoon at 2pm. Were mathematically safe now if we get four points from our last five games or if Fulham drop four points or a combination of both. On 36 points were definitely safe. We have broods in season and we have broods to retire.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT SWINDON: PAPAPAPAPOPS. AT CENTRAL PARK: NORMANSLAND FLYER.
