MONDAY 17TH OF JULY
We had rain last night so heavy you could not drive in it, lucky my place is on a hill side, and we are at the top of the hill or we would of been flooded. It has been dry so far today as we do the journal at 2pm. We galloped sixty hounds today. we had a delivery of Kasco dog food plus a hound that was sold to deliver, and I end today’s journal on a sad note as I had to put Swift Causeway to sleep as she had cancer.

TUESDAY 17TH OF JULY
Another wet day as it has been raining all morning. we have meat to collect and pack away, all the waste has to go to the dump. I hope to get to the cash and carry as well and we have started a major tidy up. We have a brood to mate as well. Newcastle play rangers in a friendly tonight, so I will watch the game tonight on live stream.
WEDNESDAY 18TH OF JULY
The first nice day for over a week, a busy day we have had at the kennels. we galloped sixty hounds today. started leveling the sand runs out next to my house, we also had to meet Micheal Flynn greyhound transporter who is taking hounds to the UK that have been sold. we needed bits and pieces from the hardware. store.
THURSDAY 19TH JULY
With a bit look we will get no rain today as we have John Nolans coming to earmark pups and to marked up dogs to their identity book which will take all day. We need all our waste away a trip to the Cash and Carry and food for pups.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT SWIFT GAVIN AT NEWCASTLE AND BLUE TICK QUEEN.
FRIDAY 21ST OF JULY
A nice day again, the main job today is cutting the grass in the rearing paddocks which will take all day. we will worm all the hound that are in the paddocks and cut their nails as well plus give them a bravecto to prevent fleas and ticks.

SATURDAY 22TH OF JULY
Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning. Saturday was another wet day. We got a delivery of dogs food from Red Mills which had to be packed away. We had John O’Reilly here checking hounds for schooling in preparation for Monday at Shelbourne Park. We needed meat. The work that we could do was limited owing to the rain.

Sunday 23rd July:
It looks like were going to get rain all day again today. It will be a typical Sunday where we do paperwork, tidy the website and prepare for the coming week. With a bit of luck we will get the vans washed and tidied up. Newcastle United are busy in the transfer market. They also start their American friendlies.
