WEEK STARTING MONDAY 13TH OF NOVMBER

MONDAY 13TH OF NOVEMBER

A wet and windy day, so no trails at Shelbourne park today because of the weather and a mechanical fault with the sprint traps. So we have been worming broods and cutting their nails. I also have been to the vets to get passport work updated. We had to repair fences because of the storm at 5am as well today. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on this weeks list Swift Battery.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT OFFICE.

Tuesday 14th November:

Were doing all of the journals from Tuesday to Sunday on Sunday morning. I day tripped to England for paper bedding. We also had a brood who had pups which didnt go as planned. Thankfully mother and pups were ok by the end of the birth. The whole day was spent preparing hounds for schooling. We also had Michael Flynn the greyhound transporter take hound that were sold to the UK. We also had hounds that were sold to the UK transported with Ross Myles on Tuesday.

Wednesday 15th November:

We started preparing the kennel doors and we have also started re-fencing all of the paddocks. We needed food for pups and we did a tidy up after the storm.

Thursday 16th November:

We hunted pups. We needed meat. We also galloped as there were no trials at Shelbourne on Monday. We continued on preparing the kennel door and re-doing the fences.

Friday 17th November:

We changed the beds in all the kennels. We got our waste away to the dump. We had to collect steel for the kennel door and a load of supplies from the hardware. We tidied all the garages and gave the freezer a good tidy.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT OXFORD: DROHOBYCH LEADER. AT ROMFORD YOU TWO. AT SUNDERLAND: SWIFT ICONIC.

Saturday 18th November:

We prepared more hounds for schooling. We had meat to collect. We did a tidy up again and continued on with the work on the kennel doors and fencing.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT DAISY, SWIFT JOCK AND SWIFT RALLY. AT DONCASTER: INCA JERRY.

Sunday 19th November:

Its a cold, damp wet morning and a typical Sunday where we tidy the website, do the paperwork and also do the VAT. We will make all the lists for the coming week, give my house a tidy, wash the vans. Whatever happens this afternoon I’ll get myself a bit of shopping.
