Monday 28th October:

Its a bank holiday in southern Ireland and its been the coldest morning of the winter. We have quite a bit to do we have been bagging straw, getting our waste straw away, doing maintenance work on the gallop and once I get the journal done im going to m&s in Dublin to get some good fruit for myself. Newcastle united got a point yesterday against wolves but we should of having the game won in the first half but to be fair by the end I was happy with the point. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT DONCASTER SWIFT BEVEL AND AT NOTTINGHAM WOKEEN.

Tuesday 29th October:

It was a cold start to the day with frost. We are doing a massive maintenance job on the gallop and continuing on with the hedge cutting, we are changing beds, all our waste to go away and we need bits and pieces of supplies. Wednesday 30th October:

Another cold morning but dry. We will get the hedge cutting finished in the rearing paddocks and the maintenance work finished on the gallop. I have been to meet ross miles and pat O’Hare who are taking hounds that are sold to the UK, we have a bit of tidying up to do. The red mills is coming so that will have to be packed away and we have being changing all beds in the kennels.

Thursday 31st October:

It is Halloween day but just another typical busy day for us. I have been away collecting supplies since 8am this morning and just as I’m doing the journal I’m about to set off again to collect more supplies. At the kennels, the lads were galloping all morning which is the main job of the day, we are starting to level the sand runs out which will be a job for two people for a few days and we have bits and pieces of paperwork to complete so if we manage all this it will be a successful day. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT HOVE CYNTHIAS GIFT.

Friday 1st November:

We got through Halloween okay and all dogs are fine and to be fair there was not many fireworks. Today is the first day of shooting season in Ireland and thankfully the neighbours who surround me the land has all preservation orders on them so there is no shooting. We are going to do a swap around with pups, give pups there second injections, get rid of our waste and collect supplies. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT ROMFORD SWIFT BULLET, BRITANNIA WILL AND SWIFT SABBATH.

Saturday 2nd November:

It has been a hectic day and we are doing the journal at half 3 in the afternoon. Everything I had planned to get done got done, our first lot of supplies arrived at 7am and we packed them away, then we trialled at Newbridge and thanks to mick the hare driver for hanging for us arriving at 12 o’clock and our next lot of supplies have just arrived so we are busy packing them away. The next good news as we do the journal Newcastle have scored twice against west ham. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT AT CRAYFORD MEGAPOPS, SWIFT TARQUIN, SWIFT CASEY AND SWIFT LIBBY.

Sunday 3rd November:

We are doing Sunday’s journal on Tuesday morning as we never got a chance the last two days. Sunday was a typical sunday where we cleaned kennels, cooked, feed and let hounds out. We caught up on some paperwork and cleaned all around the yard that is as much as we could do. ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT CRAYFORD SWIFT CASEY.
