Sunday 12th February:

I’ve had a chest infection and red eyes for the last 7 days. I got to the doctors on Friday, got tablets and feel miles better today but still not right. Ross Myles is delivering hounds to the UK for us. My head lad Padgie is off today so it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will do paperwork, tidy the website and prepare for a busy week. I had to go into Monasterevin at 5:30am this morning to pick the lads up. As I was driving past the Nags Head I got the fright of my life as I thought I came upon a body on the road. It was a swan sitting in the middle of the road and it must have came up from the river. I got out of the van to chase it off the road and he or she started attacking me. Thankfully on the way back the ISPCA were there attending to the swan.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT TOWCESTER THIS AFTERNOON: BROWN EYED BOY, YOU TOO AND IANS WARRIOR.
