MONDAY THE 6TH OF JULY
A busy day. I have been in Graham Holand collecting a brood bitch. That’s been mated to bombay Pat. At the kennels we had to be fed up early for the maintenance job of the day trialing in Kilkenny. We have a load of bits of pieces of supplies to collect from everywhere. We need all the waste away and England is through to the quarter final of the World Cup.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT KIPPER.
TUESDAY THE 7TH OF JULY
Another day where its going to be very warm in southern Ireland so we will have to keep an eye on all mother and pups plus all hounds in kennels and rearing paddocks. The plans for today we need supplies from the vets and as normal a whole lot of bits and pieces as well. I will be worming and trimming nails on sapping and pups plus changing beds in kennels and rearing paddocks. On this week greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on the list swift loch at Kinsley.
WEDNESDAY THE 8TH OF JULY
Another red hot day dogs will have to be watched and give them plenty of water today. We have a bit of maintenance work to do as normal we need loads of bits and pieces of supplies. We have a brood bitch that is ready to collect from Graham Holland that has been mated. On this week greyhound star Irish performance of the week we have one hound on the list Swift Harley at Clonmel.
THURSDAY THE 9TH OF JULY
Thursday was another red hot day. We cant do anything with the hounds at the moment other than keep them cool and give them plenty of fresh water. We got all our waste away, went to the vets and fed up early as hounds aren’t eating with the heat.
FRIDAY THE 10TH OF JULY
Friday was the hottest day of the week. Thankfully there hasn’t been any problems. We had a load of bits and pieces to collect, we had a brood bitch to pick up from Graham Holland. We had a delivery of O’Neills dog food. I also had to collect fish.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TO NIGHT AT ROMFORD IN THE CORONATION CUP FINAL TIFFIELD TAEQUIN ALSO SWIFT JASPER OI OI DANNELLA
Saturday 11th July:
We have meat to collect, the waste has to be taken to the dump, pups to worm and nails to trim. We will also do a swap around with hounds and pups from pupping down areas to concrete runs and rearing paddocks.
Sunday 12th July:
It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up with paperwork.
