MONDAY THE 26TH OF MAY
It was a bank holiday in the UK but normal day for us in Ireland. I went to collect meat and I also got all the waste away. At the kennels we had rain so we are back using the gallop again and we prepared more hounds for schooling and the day went well.
Sunday saw Newcastle round off their trophy-winning season by claiming a place in next season’s Champions League tournament – thanks in no small part to the match-winning efforts of Manchester United.

FRIDAY THE 3OTH OF MAY
The first job on Friday morning was to collect meat as all of our suppliers are sharing it out. We had a brood have 15 pups and 11 of them were the size of two week old pups. How she carried them and birthed them all I do not know. As we do the journal on Saturday morning the pups and mother are doing fantastic. At the kennels the whole day was taken up with maintenance work and preparing hounds for schooling. I had another trip to the vets. A hound well worthy of a mention won last night in Newbridge fastest time of the night 28.67.
